Democrats and the Media accentuate the negative

Democrats are all too pleased that President Bush's approval ratings are low ('Giddy Dems' Point to Bush's Sinking Poll Numbers ). One thing they are very good at is finding fault and negativity in any situation. Not enough attention has been put on the fact that Iraq has just voted on a Constitution, and is headed towards becoming a society capable of governing its own people, without the help of America. Go figure! President Bush's poll numbers are not down because he isn't doing something right. He is, and has always said that we won't waver in the effort to help Iraq. We won't leave until the job is done. The reason poll numbers are looking bleak is because Americans have become disillusioned. But what for? They are listening to all the negative talk.

President Bush has only fought for those who need our help, he's tried to put decent folk on the Supreme Court that reflect Conservative America's values, and still, he is having a hard time! I can't for the life of me, understand why there are some disillusioned Republicans intent on going after his latest Supreme Court pick, Harriet Miers. She isn't the first nominee to not have judicial experience. The Honorable Judge William B. Rehnquist didn't have judicial experience either. The fact that Harriet Miers is a born-again Christian, that she leans conservative in her views toward abortion, should resonate loudly with Republicans that she is a good pick. But instead, there is discontent among Republicans... and the Democrats are enjoying this, no doubt. It disturbs me, because Republicans add to the upheaval when they tear apart the President's nominees and goals.

Republicans must keep their unity. If the party stands in disarray, Democrats will take advantage of that and attack mercilessly, with help from the media of course. The media doesn't hold back in mentioning that Pres. Bush's poll numbers are low, lowest among Black Americans after Katrina. I want to clear something up on the "slow" Katrina response. There has been much disinformation sold to black Americans in regards to FEMA's response. The Federal Government is not supposed to be first on the scene after a disaster. It is the local government and state government who are responsible for putting together a feasible evacuation plan to save lives. Then, if requested, the Federal Government steps in. Perhaps an inquiry should be made as to why there was a communication breakdown between local leaders, and why unused buses sat in flooded water when they could have been used to evacuate people out of a city that was certain to sustain major damage. But that is another story.

I want to point out an interesting note on President Bush's poll numbers...it is not unusual for a President in his second term to face low ratings:

It's not hard to see that every President has experienced some sort of dive in their poll numbers. President Bush isn't in some sort of trouble. Don't let the media sidetrack you, the public, in believing that President Bush is the most unpopular President ever! They only wish!

Stay positive!

How do we continue to support President Bush? By having the faith as he does to believe that Iraq will become a well functioning society in the future. We support him by giving his judicial nominees a chance. We need to continue to realize we are in a global war against terror, and that our troops are engaged in a just cause to prevent terrorism from happening here. We must realize that this is the reality we face today, things are not peachy. Americans ought to be glad that President Bush is hardcore against terror and won't stand for it.

The American people also have got to realize that the Democrats and the mainstream media are playing dirty. What's the solution to fight back? Easy...just ignore their efforts to downplay everything the Bush administration tries to do...don't listen to the negativity.

Sure Bush is a wartime President, and it's easy to find the negative in a war and get caught up in the politics of it all. Just show lots of suffering. But where are the images that show progress? Where are the images that show our troops helping and restoring a grateful Iraq? You never see that in the mainstream media! There is never a balanced view in the mainstream media. There is always an agenda and Americans by now, recognize the tactics. So let's be smart and give the President our support on critical issues!
