Iranian President Mahmoud ahmadinejad, United Nations

Wanted: Exorcist for Mahmoud ahmadinejad

Pope Benedict XV1's `caster out of demons' meister, Father Gabriele amorth should consider Iranian President Mahmoud ahmadinejad as a candidate for exorcism.

as the Vatican's chief exorcist, Father amorth recently identified Hitler and Stalin as demons possessed by the Devil.

Father amorth confirmed that not only does Satan exist, but also he can possess a single person, groups and in fact entire populations.

"I am convinced that the Nazis were all possessed. all you have to do is think about what Hitler–and Stalin did. almost certainly they were possessed by the Devil," (Daily Mail)

Father amorth said.

Evil as Hitler and Stalin were, they're dead devils.

Such is not the case with ahmadinejad.

It would be a devil of a job exorcising Mahmoud ahmadinejad, but it would be doing the world a favour.

Like so many other despots like Saddam Hussein who dabble in the occult, ahmadinejad has laid claim to having supernatural powers.

The Iranian president says that he found himself bathed in light throughout a speech he delivered at the UN. This was not a manmade light of any kind; it was, he said, a light from heaven.

With crackpots ducking in and out of the UN's Dag Hammarskjöld-inspired Meditation Room and with UN physic in residence Sri Chinmoy going about reading peoples' palms, you never know. But one thing for sure, God does not live at the UN. Nor does he even stop by to visit.

Here is how the loquacious ahmadinejad describes his self-prescribed halo: "On the last day when I was speaking, one of our group told me that when I started to say `Bismillah Muhammad', he saw a green light come from around me, and I was placed inside this aura," he says. "I felt it myself. I felt that the atmosphere suddenly changed, and for those 27 or 28 minutes, all the leaders of the world did not blink. When I say they didn't move an eyelid, I'm not exaggerating. They were looking as if a hand was holding them there, and had just opened their eyes–alhamduillah!"

and when Mahmoud ahmadinejad says he felt the atmosphere change, he wasn't talking about al Gore's favourite topic of global warming.

Is it any wonder why President George W. Bush recently described ahmadinejad as an `odd man'?

ahmadinejad's circle of light may have been coming for a long time, but it real time it fortutiously coincided with his international debut, or on the very day when he made his premier speech to the UN.

From ahmadinejad, the world had been waiting with bated breath for what it expected was a conciliatory proposal to defuse the nuclear crisis after Teheran had rebooted another part of its nuclear program in august.

The raised eyebrows from delegates when ahmadinejad was making his speech didn't come from anything connected to the paranormal, just couldn't believe what they were hearing from ahmadinejad.

The Vatican has been into exorcism for years.

according to secret Vatican documents recently released, wartime pontiff Pope Paul X11 attempted a "long distance" exorcism of Hitler, which failed to have any effect.

Like the priest in the movie The Exorcist, Father amorth is on his own.

ahmadinejad, the man who likely views Michael the archangel as just another infidel could hardly be expected to present himself in Rome to have his demons cast out.

and no doubt Father amorth would have his work cut out for him at the world's largest bureaucracy, for Mahmoud ahmadinejad is not the only demon at work.

There are others who sometimes lurk about in dark and dusty corners at the UN. Canadian Maurice Strong, all-round Pooh-Bah and once UN deputy secretary general and former Soviet Leader Mikhail Gorbachev have been busy doing the devil's work. It's this deadly duo who want to rewrite the Ten Commandments of Moses to the Earth Charter.

Thus, if Father amorth ever steps foot into the United Nations, he likely won't be back for a long time.
