Space aliens avoiding earthling known as the politician?

A UFO believer kindly sent me the latest ABC News, "Former Arizona Governor's Close Encounter with UFO".

Criticism had been tossed my way when I last month criticized former Canadian Defense Minister Paul Hellyer, who told the Ottawa Citizen that governments are holding out on the rest of us in regards to not disclosing alien technology that could be used to solve the problem of climate change.

"I would like to see what (alien) technology there might be that could eliminate the burning of fossil fuels within a generation…that could be a way to save our planet," Hellyer said.

He also noted, "We need to persuade our governments to come clean on what they know. Some of us suspect they know quite a lot, and it might be enough to save our planet if applied quickly enough."

I have no argument with Hellyer's belief in life on other planets. It's the concept of his stating something that that cannot be proven that bothers me.

"That's a notion that's going to be advanced some time soon," I thought when first reading about Hellyer's comments.

And before you could say extraterrestrial, along came high-flying movie star John Travolta. Travolta, a Scientologist, is claiming the solution to global warming can be found in outer space.

"It (global warming) is a very valid issue," Travolta declared. "I'm wondering if we need to think about other planets and dome cities."

With Hellyer and Travolta in on the act, how far behind can Al Gore be?

To my way of thinking, Hellyer and Travolta are exploiting space aliens.

They are assuming that the inhabitants of other planets buy Gore's charge that global warming is man made.

For all we know, ET or his equivalent may believe that carbon credits are a crock.

Hellyer's and Travoltas' words are indicative that the space aliens have the solution to save Mother Earth, but are keeping it to themselves.

It's tantamount to saying that the intelligent life that exists on other planets believes Al Gore's predictions that earth as we know it, will burn up and while watching things from on high, is choosing to do zip to help.

At least former Arizona Governor Fife Symington isn't pointing to outer space as an answer for global warming--at least not yet. He is merely revising his description of the Phoenix Lights Sighting in 1997.

Governor for six years, Symington kept mum on his encounter with what he is now prepared to say was a UFO.

"It was absolutely breathtaking," Symington said. "I mean when I saw it, I said this is definitely a UFO. I have never seen anything like this in my life." (ABC News, March 30, 2007). "It was an event that is now the stuff of legend, called the Phoenix Lights. There was video taken in 1997 of those mysterious lights flying in formation in the Arizona night sky, and was witnessed by thousands."

Thousands of eyewitnesses gave their description of the sighting--and never changed a word in those descriptions.

Symington, who tried to poke fun of the encounter while in office, now describes his sighting of the Phoenix Lights as "a geometric form with extremely bright lights on the leading edge."

When he was governor, he held a fake news conference to present the source of the glowing lights: his chief of staff dressed up as a Martian.

"This goes to show that you guys are entirely too serious," Symington laughed at the news conference.

He didn't mean to downplay the eyewitness accounts, but was only trying to keep everyone calm, he now says.

"What I was trying to do was have fun and make a spoof, and stop all the public hysteria that was going on at the time," he said.

It's not the average citizen creating public hysteria at the possibility of UFOs and life on other planets.

They know that no space alien has ever given any grief to Mother Earth. It's the politicians, the politicians' changed stories, their lies and their hype causing all the grief.

People on Earth have always been able to make up their own minds without politicians.

There was so much public interest in the 100,000 documents released in France's online X-files last week that the Website crashed within two hours.

The same people that Al Gore accuses of creating global warming, are open minded enough to conclude that we aren't the only intelligent form of life in God's breathtaking galaxy.

Meanwhile, they await the news of visiting space aliens.

But perhaps there is a good reason why space aliens are not showing themselves on Earth. Could be they're aware of the duplicity and absurdity of that self-serving earthling known as the modern day politician.
