Enough With This Already

By Jim Whelan, The Joan Randall Agency

Wednesday, August 1, 2007

I've had enough of this whole Lindsay Lohan thing. My goodness gracious, you can't turn on the television, radio, or even open a newspaper or magazine withouthearing or seeing about an out of control 21 year oldwho has a couple of movie credits to her name.

Before her it was Paris and Britney, both of whomare blank slates most of the time. The only differenceit seems is that Lindsay parties with her mom, whoshould running the zoo instead of climbing in the cageherself.

Hasn't anybody got anything else to talk or write about?

Nicole Ritchie? Wrong answer.

Lord almighty, news producers should be ashamed of allthe publicity they are giving this bunch of no accounts.

You know how to get Lindsay to stop drinking?

Stop talking about her. Stop putting her picture in thepaper. Stop showing her picture on TV. That will soberher freckled butt up quick. But no...an agency offers hera new contract to model their stuff.

I saw a word for these people the other day, and it fits.

Celebretard.

That needs to go in the dictionary today.

But none of this will stop.

You know why?

I watched a show about advertising the other day. Theshow was talking to the CEO of Carl Jr.'s, a hamburgerchain that used Paris Hilton in an add for their burgers.

Paris was in a one piece bathing suit washing a car whileeating a Carl Jr.'s burger.

Sales went up 800 %! 800 %!

My only question was, why haven't you shot anothercommercial?

These girls are here to stay. I guess I should just getused to it.

From the big saddle,
