Is the USA Still a Good Bet?

The Choice in 2024 - A Democrat “Amerika” or the USA

Four years ago, while a pivotal American election was being disrupted by militant mobs, a lingering pandemic, economic setbacks and mass mail-in voting, I confidently contended that we should never bet against the USA.

Despite the consequences of the pandemic, I refused to believe that Americans would deny a second term to a president whose policies had produced a sound economy, full employment, a soaring stock market, lower taxes, higher wages, energy independence, negligible inflation rates, detente with foreign rivals, the defeat of ISIS, a peace accord in the Middle East, and secure borders.

On election day I thought I had made a good call. But by the end of that fateful week my presumption collapsed. Enough mail-in ballots for Joe Biden appeared in all the right places. Over the weeks that followed Barack Obama’s aging VP was installed in the Oval Office and the DC establishment celebrated the eviction of President Donald J. Trump.

Since January 2021 developments in the USA have resembled the plot of a 1987 ABC TV series entitled “Amerika.” The production starred Kris Kristofferson in the Orwellian tale of a society ten years after a bloodless communist coup.

In today's America folks are witnessing the emergence of a Soviet style police state in which Machiavellian political tactics have become a daily feature of the government’s modus operandi. Citizens are witnessing the birth of an actual “Amerika.”

Since millions of mail-in ballots and a compliant political establishment swept Joe Biden into the White House, Americans have been subjected to stunning new levels of deception. By the second year of the Biden presidency even the New York Times noticed the President was unable to stop himself from embellishing narratives. An October 2022 NYT headline read “Biden, Story Teller in Chief, Spins Yarns That Often Unravel.”

A vital part of the American Left’s strategy for permanent revolution is the open border policy

This year, despite mountains of evidence gathered by the House Oversight Committee, President Biden still claims that his role as the “Big Guy” in his family’s international influence peddling business is a “MAGA-motivated” conspiracy theory.

History teaches us that dishonest leaders also corrupt their nation’s customs and institutions. This has become exceedingly evident in the unrecognisable state of the American justice system. Under Joe Biden’s leadership actual felons go free while his Department of Justice supports Kafkaesque prosecutions of his political adversaries. Ludicrous indictments against Donald Trump have reduced American courts to the level of totalitarian star chambers.

A vital part of the American Left’s strategy for permanent revolution is the open border policy. President Biden inherited relatively secure national boundaries from Donald Trump, but he reversed the Republican's policies and opened up the country to millions of illegal migrants.

Most migrants arrive with expectations for travel assistance, free housing, education, healthcare, food entitlements and financial subsidies. In the foreseeable future they will become grateful militants for a powerful Democrat Party regime.

America’s media asserts political power through the use of the “Megaphone” and the “Muzzle”

American education has also been on the road to Marxification for more than a hundred years. By the early decades of the 20th century faith-based country school houses and classical-liberal urban education systems surrendered to the “progressive” visions of Marxist intellectuals.

Early in the 20th century Columbia University’s socialist patrician, John Dewey led the long march of the Left through America’s classrooms. By the turn of the 21st century Dewey’s impact was amplified by Paulo Freire, a Brazilian Marxist who sought to influence the thinking of s-called “colonised peoples.” Freirean educators prioritise political literacy over actual literacy.

Late in 2022, American scholar, James A. Lindsay, published an insightful update on the progressive school movement. The title of his book spoke for itself: “The Marxification of Education: Paulo Freire’s Critical Marxism and the Theft of Education.” Lindsay asserted that Paulo Freire’s “Politics of Education” now sets the tone for woke schools and universities throughout America and the West.

Woke schools produce woke graduates and many of those graduates acquire influential positions in media and entertainment. In a 2020 book entitled “The Stakes; America at the Point of No Return,” Hillsdale College Fellow, Michael Anton, explained how America’s media asserts political power through the use of the “Megaphone” and the “Muzzle.”

Mail-in ballots make it possible for votes to be coerced, purchased, harvested, lost, forged

The “megaphone” is a collection of instruments through which the content of the regime’s narrative is broadcast. It includes newspapers, big broadcast networks, streaming services, social media, TV series, movies, corporations and the education system.

The “muzzle” is a censorship strategy that controls opposition. It exercises enormous pressure on dissident thinkers who challenge the “hive mind” of the Left.

Marxists are not above using force when required, but they prefer achieving public compliance through the persuasive powers of an obedient press.

Election integrity is another indispensable foundation for a constitutional republic. Over the last several years that foundation has been crumbling. The Left’s preference for mass mail-in voting is a deliberate rejection of the secure secret ballot and an open door for corruption.

A citizen’s vote is no longer protected by the sanctuary of a voting booth and the personal casting of a single ballot at a scrutinised polling station. Mail-in ballots make it possible for votes to be coerced, purchased, harvested, lost, forged or otherwise interfered with outside the guardrails of long-established electoral practises. They are an invitation to manipulation by party activists which Americans appear to be stuck with for the coming election.

Is the USA Still a Good Bet?

American liberty is in considerable peril. Deceit, corruption, broken borders, woke schools, regime media, and rigged elections amount to a clear and present danger for the USA. Aristotle once warned that “republics decline into democracies and democracies degenerate into despotism.” This is exactly what is happening in Joe Biden's “Amerika."

More than two centuries ago Ben Franklin told the American people they had a republic if they could keep it. Few modern leaders have dedicated themselves more dutifully to that task than the 45th President of the United States. Former President Donald Trump continues to insist that: “As long as we have faith in each other, and trust in God, then there is no goal, at all, beyond our reach. There is no dream too large, no task too great.”

Even if it appears to be a “Hail Mary pass" at this point in the game, the "Make America Great Again Movement" is still worth betting on - and worth saying a prayer for at the same time!
