Just GRAND!
Dear Editor ; Saturday, February 11, 2012
My new granddaughter - not yet a week old – definitely has smartphone thumbs.
Of course, a few years from now - I am convinced – babies will be BORN clutching a smartphone or similar device in their little hands. Then a grandparent’s question will no longer be “what’s his/her name,” but “what model i-something is it?”
Also, I believe, there will be a new, mandatory, infant-dexterity-test coming soon, such as “does he/she have adequate thumb dexterity” or something of that kind.

Imams lie to Canadians about Islam
Dear Editor ; Tuesday, February 7, 2012
In response to the murder in Kingston, Ontario, of four female members of an Islamic family by the families patriarch, his second wife and his eldest son, thirty-four Imams from Canada and the United States issued a fatwa in Mississauga, Ontario, last Saturday condemning honour killings, domestic violence and misogyny as non-Islamic, saying that these things had no place in Islam and Islam couldn’t be blamed when they occurred in Islamic communities.

A print-ready copy of this issue of “Carbon Sense”.
The Climate Scare/Green Energy Bubble will be the defining feature of our age. Never before have so many people wasted so much money and time on climate fables, alarmist handouts and energy toys.
More...Foreign aid
Dear Editor ; Wednesday, February 1, 2012
Seeing that Canada is blessed with a super abundance of seals, Canada geese and moose. Why don’t we use some of our foreign aid to process them for export to the Third World. This would create thousands of jobs in Canada and help feed the starving masses in Africa and Asia. A win-win situation all round.
More...A challenge for all MP’s
Dear Editor ; Tuesday, January 31, 2012
Honourable Members,
As a taxpaying Canadian, who is nearing retirement, I am very disturbed by the news of impending changes to our pension plans. Before any Government looks at the plans of the Canadian citizens, I strongly feel there needs be a rewrite of the “Golden/Platinum Plan” that the MP’s have.

Dear Editor ; Monday, January 30, 2012
You should check U.S. constitution, a President must be either natural born citizen or a citizen. Obama is natural born because of his mother. You don’t need two parents. I do not offer this in support of him.

Dear Editor ; Sunday, January 29, 2012
The recent rescue of hostages in Somalia by a Navy Seal Team brings into focus the ongoing problem we have with the Somali pirates. These pirates continue to wreak havoc on commercial shipping off the coast of Africa, and there are numerous ships and hostages currently being held by the pirates for ransom.

According to those pushing the carbon tax, 500 bureaucrats googling away quietly in Canberra and generating little useful except carbon dioxide exhalations, are more valuable than 500 farmers, foresters, fishermen, workers and miners whose machines also generate more of the same harmless carbon dioxide in order to produce the food, fibres, hardware and energy needed for our daily existence.

Dear Editor ; Friday, January 27, 2012
From time to time the Federal Government advises Canadians, in the interests of their own safety, to leave or avoid certain Middle East countries. When is the government going to advise Canadians to boycott Mexico which is more dangerous for Canadians than any Muslim hellhole?
