Insanity and mass hysteria, man-caused global warming
Exploiting the Prevailing Insanity
 Many years ago, actually in April of 1954, in my home town of Seattle, Washington, before the liberal socio-virus had infected the entire city and now the whole state, we experienced a phenomenon known as the pitted windshield mystery. It seems, upon close inspection, everyone’s car windshield had tiny pits in them, or so they thought. It started up north in the state and rapidly spread to the big city of Seattle within a week.
The print and radio news media (not much television then) picked it up and suddenly, out of no where, there was a full-blown feeding frenzy on what was causing the pits. From cosmic radiation, to sand fleas, to extra terrestrial microscopic invasions, to the Navy’s new million-watt transmitter, to micro-organisms that ate glass, to a shift in the Earth’s magnetic field, there was no answer to the mystery that was too bizarre. The event was a text book case of mass hysteria, or collective delusion, aided and abetted by a willing news media.
Unfortunately, man is highly susceptible to this temporary insanity, given his vivid imagination and willingness to believe almost anything, and this kind of naive mass hysteria, or collective delusion, has become an integral part of our cultural psyche these days, fed in part by the carriers of this disease, the 24-hour news cycle. Someone starts a controversial rumor, either innocently, or on purpose, emotions take over and the avalanche breaks loose and heads down the canyon out-of-control ..... again, aided and abetted by a maniacal news media, only too eager to use anything they can to increase subscriptions or ratings, truth or journalism ethics be damned.
One glaring example of this prevailing insanity is the massive proliferation of conspiracy theories, all the way from the American government perpetrating 9/11, to FEMA building concentration camps for Americans who speak out against the government, to the government handing over a deed to American property to the Chinese, as collateral for our debt to them. Another prevailing conspiracy theory circulating in the last year or so, was that the American government was minting a new coin called the Amero, to be put in circulation when an agreement to seal the North American Union, between the U. S., Canada and Mexico, was signed.
The fact is, all it takes is a few extraneous pieces of information, a wild hair of an idea to connect unrelated dots for whatever reason, throw in a large measure of untamed emotion and a conspiracy theory is born. With the Internet, a conspiracy theory, fully documented with doctored documents, hits cyberspace and the race is on to expand the conspiracy beyond any semblance of common sense. Of course, in all conspiracy theories, there must be a villain to be vilified and a victim to be pitied. The range of villains and victims is only limited by the imagination and designs of the perpetrators, or the unbridled hysteria of the population at large. Like an avalanche, the conspiracy must run its course until it expends its energy, or finally becomes unbelievable, as the truth outs.
But some mass hysteria is purposely induced in the population with malice aforethought, by an individual, or a group of individuals with a hidden agenda and something to gain, whether it be control, territory, money, power, or all of the above.
We are not prone to accepting any conspiracy theories at face value without a full vetting and find most of them suspect at best and outright lies at worst. But some have a kernel of truth that surrounds them. Such is this mass hysteria by an entire world population over the fraud that is man-caused global warming. It has been propagandized by world government bodies and supposedly credible authorities and has been parroted by the print and electronic news media and federal, state and local governments here in America and abroad. Our own Federal government has taken over the curriculum of the entire public school system and now indoctrinates (brainwashes) our school and college-age children with fear and intimidation over a non-crisis, that has been wholly manufactured by international government bodies and co-conspirators in science, either with a political axe to grind (world domination and/or a massive transfer of wealth), or an eye on the next grant money out of the public treasury for further climate research.
Even as the science mounts, almost daily, against man-caused global warming, this valid, credible science is totally ignored by the government and the full range of the worldwide news media. Articles supporting the fraud appear frequently in newspapers and on radio and TV reports, but hardly a peep is heard about the science debunking it. Two major conferences on man-caused global warming were held in New York in March of 2008 and 2009, but the news reports or the science that came out of these two significant events, could hardly be found anywhere, but on the Internet.
The non-science that is man-caused global warming (now the politically correct ‘climate change’) has been spoon fed to a gullible, naive, non-thinking population who couldn’t tell a non-truth if it bit them on the behind and the perpetrators and purveyors of this fraud have done so on a planet-wide scale of unprecedented proportions, fully exploiting the self-induced prevailing insanity of our times. Whether it is pitted windshields, UFO’s, wild conspiracy theories, bank and business bailouts, stimulus packages, man-caused global warming, or any other government-sponsored or special interest group fraud, the people are willing accomplices in their own demise. By their apathy, disinterest and laziness, they have put the chains around their own wrists and ankles and the government is laughing all the way to the banks they now own.
In a free country, the people have not only a choice to be informed, but an absolute duty and responsibility to know what is going on around them and that includes what their government is doing “TO” them. Government never does something “FOR” the people, unless it can get something in return and that something is usually a vote to keep the perpetrators in power. Well folks, the evil perpetrators are in power and we put them there. It appears now, they have a “free” hand to do whatever they damn well please and they are, because they have successfully “Exploited the Prevailing Insanity” and we have allowed them to do it.
Maybe, just maybe, a few hundred or a thousand tea parties across America will expose this prevailing insanity and mass hysteria on a number of political fronts and finally restore us to a prevailing reality. One can only hope.
