Obama’s 100 days to Ownership and Responsibility

To highlight his first 100 days in office, President Obama told the world, “We’ve begun the work of remaking America.” This historic statement will serve to mark and seal forever Obama’s acceptance of full ownership and responsibility as America’s one true leader. This assumption comes from the fact that his use of the word, “remake” implies ownership. And of course, with ownership there always comes responsibility.

Up until now, President Obama saw fit to share his leadership, including ownership and responsibility, with former President G. W. Bush on everything from the economy to the war on terror. But President Obama’s sharing days are finally over.

President Obama proved he was up to the task by taking the wheel after only 100 days of on-the-job-training. President Obama deserves high marks for his courage and valor in the midst of such trying times. After all, any ordinary President in his situation would cower and continue to bemoan his circumstances while passing the blame on to his predecessors. But not Barack Obama, he’s no ordinary President. No sir, his ability and desire to take complete control of any given situation transcend the ordinary.

In nothing short of a miraculous effort in his first 100 days, President Obama paid dearly, (with taxpayer, borrowed, and printed money of course), for the right of ownership and responsibility to such things as: the economy, the recession, the complete war on terror including; Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan, Wall Street, every bank and financial institution, the auto industry, housing and foreclosures, global warming, energy, renewable energy, the environment, Guantanamo and all detainees, the FBI, CIA, ATF and State Department, Homeland Security, US Military, Immigration, border security, drug interdiction, all foreign policy, the debt and deficit, health care, education, the Stimulus Bill, the Omnibus Bill, TARP, job creation, unemployment, every state in the Union, and last but not least, any and all new taxes needed to continue to pay for it.

Never before has one risen to the level of such leadership as Barack Obama.

President Obama has put the world on notice that Bush is out and he is in – all in! President Obama is officially the owner of all things American, (and socialist).

And so, by the rights bestowed upon him, by himself, President Obama hereby declares that a new prefix be attached to each and every one of his new possessions, (i.e., The “Obama” economy, the “Obama” war in Iraq, the “Obama” recession, the “Obama” auto industry, the “Obama” deficit, etc.). You get the point.

But all kidding aside, the important thing to remember is this. If, after putting his micromanaging fingers and trillions of taxpayer dollars into every aspect of our republic, President Obama is bold enough to expect all the credit when the good times return, then he better have the courage to accept all the responsibility if they don’t - starting now!
