Obama Appoints Liberation Theology As Vatican Ambassador

May 28, 2009– President Barack Hussein Obama has appointed Miguel H. Diaz, a 45-year-old Liberation theologian as our nation’s Ambassador to the Vatican.

Diaz is an associate professor of theology at St. John’s University and the College of Saint Benedict in Minnesota. He is also a theological consultant to the Catholic Association of Teachers of Homiletics and serves on a task force overseeing the revision of accrediting standards for the Association of Theological Schools.

He is a Liberation theologian who has written extensively about Latino and Black liberation theology.

Liberation theology is Marxist-based and has been used throughout Latin America to foment socialist revolutionary activities.
