Barack Obama dispenses with things that aren’t broken while cherishing things that don’t work. Israel - like capitalism - works. Therefore, it must go.
To the extent that Palestinian society is a society (as opposed to being a dysfunctional conglomeration of hatred and self-destruction) it is a broken society. Therefore, it must be cherished.
Obama’s upcoming trip to Buchenwald lays bare the convolution with which he governs. This farcical event is quintessential Obama, feigning remorse about the last Holocaust while facilitating the next one. As always, the words and the music don’t match.
This toxic charade is quintessential Obama, symbolically feigning remorse about the last Holocaust while simultaneously facilitating the next one. He travels to honor six-million dead Jews as he insures that six-million living Jews will soon be dead – surely one of history’s most brazen and transparent acts of depravity.
Obama’s refusal to confront the nuclear threat imperiling Israel is cold hard reality, whereas his grandstanding at Buchenwald will merely be the theater of the absurd. This is a unique moment in history, a public figure somehow managing to transcend all previous public acts of cynicism. It is the equivalent of O.J. Simpson sobbing at Nicole Brown’s graveside. Obama intends to use the most recent pogrom as a fig leaf, while he methodically lays the foundation for the next pogrom. Meanwhile, the media admire the Emperor’s new clothes.
Somewhere, H.L. Mencken is exalting Obama and his courtiers, since they are Exhibit A in the case for justifying misanthropy.
WICKED ARE THE “PEACEMAKERS”
Not so long ago, American leftists decided they must bring peace to the Southeast Asian conflict. They identified the villain as being the United States military and labeled as heroes the local resistance groups that went by the names of “Viet Cong”, “Khmer Rouge”, and “Pathet Lao.” Progressives ultimately won the political battle to remove American Armed Forces from the region, and soon thereafter three-million Asian civilians were slaughtered by the heroes of the Left.
Today, progressives are determined to do for Israel what they did for South Vietnam. Once again, the American Left perceives a death struggle that pits people who like the United States and share its values against genocidal terrorist organizations. And once again, the American Left is siding with the terrorists.
Progressives invariably camouflage their intentions behind humanitarian rhetoric. Four decades ago, “Give Peace A Chance” translated literally into “Decency dictates that we willingly sanction Pol Pot’s mass murder of two-million innocent people.”
Today, “The Two-State Solution” actually means “It is time to finish the job that Hitler started.” While American cheerleaders of the Palestinians lack the candor to admit this truth, the Palestinians eagerly do so. Recently, the Palestinian ambassador to Jordan declared that the two-state solution is the “means for destroying Israel”.
But the Left will not allow its narratives to be interrupted by reality. The progressive Middle Eastern fairy tale is that Israel represents a manifestation of sadistic American imperialism. As the story goes, the evil Jewish interlopers ruthlessly persecute the indigenous Palestinian population, a situation made all the more galling by the fact that the lotus-eating Palestinians would never even harm a fly.
Any information that contradicts this premise is dismissed as “neocon” propaganda generated by the malevolent entity that controls the media and Congress alike… the American Israel Public Affairs Committee. In casting AIPAC as the omnipotent bogeyman, leftists seek to perform the propaganda equivalent of alchemy, transforming Fatah homicide bombings and Hamas terror rocketry into gallant acts of self-defense.
GOEBBELS WOULD BE SMILING
The Leftists among us have crafted anti-Semitic fabulism that would make Josef Goebbels proud.
Goebbels would be even prouder of J Street, a George Soros-backed organization of left-wing Jews who advertise themselves as being a “pro-Israel peace group”. Members express their profound love for Zionism by condemning the Jewish State while advocating the Palestinian cause.
Truth be known, J Streeters love Israel about as much as Charles Manson loved Sharon Tate. Nevertheless, it is useful to the peace movement when Israel is vilified by people sporting Jewish surnames. That is why J Street is a valuable weapon in the progressive campaign to cleanse the Middle East of the Hanukkah crowd.
The Palestinian cause is predicated upon J Street-style deception. The goal is to destroy Israel by inverting reality. Those who seek peace are cast as warmongers. Those who vow genocide are presented as victims. The cause exists only as long as the lies outpace the truth.
The truth is that the Palestinians can gain peace whenever they choose – if they choose to abandon their dream of destroying Israel. It is a concession Palestinians have been consistently unwilling to make, and so their supporters must slander Israel or be exposed as the champions of miscreants, which they are!
Therefore, Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton assert that Jewish buildings and not Palestinian murderers forestall a peaceful resolution. Absent a free press and a vigilant opposition party, such fiction goes unchallenged and the Leftists’ con job continues unabated.
By demonizing Israel, Obama can now distance the United States from its faithful ally, just as Iran is obtaining the nuclear weaponry that Mahmoud Ahmadinejad vows will eliminate the “Zionist Entity.”
Leftists need not repudiate Israel the way they disavowed our Southeast Asian allies. This time, they need not do anything at all, except to prevent the Israelis from preempting an Iranian attack. In short order, you can expect Obama to rationalize his treachery in the name of peaceful coexistence.
Ahmadinejad knows that Obama and Clinton will pledge eternal solidarity with Israel, even as they watch the Jewish State being incinerated. The Palestinians will suffer many casualties, but they have always declared that any price is worth extinguishing Zionism.
With all the Jews dead, Palestine can belatedly join Zimbabwe as a country that American Leftists have liberated from colonialism into modernity. It is a scenario that may not constitute the textbook definition of peace, but if past is prologue, it is the genocidal kind of peace that the American Left will produce.
Just ask the Cambodians.
