Of Eco-systems, Adaptation, Equilibrium and Monkey Wrenches
Environmental scientists are great at trotting out how fragile the Earth’s eco-systems are and in fact, they are fragile. The Earth is full of different types of eco-systems but they all exhibit some of the same qualities when it comes to their equilibrium (balance) and long-term survival. Eco-systems, like so many other things in nature, are called non-linear dynamic systems. Their fragility comes in operating at the edge of chaos. It takes very little to send the system into chaos.
It takes years, sometimes eons, for eco-systems to reach a stage of equilibrium where all the species operate in harmony with all the other species. Some eco-systems never reach equilibrium because the environment in which an eco-system is trying to establish a niche, is constantly changing and the species within the system cannot adapt fast enough.
It takes almost nothing to destabilize an eco-system because it does operate at the edge of chaos and in fact, eco-systems are going in an out of existence almost daily, all over the Earth. Species, within eco-systems, are going in and out of extinction on a regular basis. Some foreign species finds its way into an eco-system, finds an abundance of “food” upon which to engorge and upsets the balance of the system in hours, if not days. Aggressive ant colonies, in expanding their territory, will invade an eco-system that is in a state of equilibrium and the ants will send the system into chaos. Man will have had absolutely nothing to do with the silent carnage that ensues in that small or large eco-system. These events are played out by the millions of occurrences, every single day all over the land masses, oceans, waters and wetlands of the Earth. The larger eco-systems, like the ocean, tend to be vary adaptable to changing conditions and can accept even massive interference, including the so-called massive interference from man. Short-sighted man tends to think in terms of a human-life generation. Mother nature works in terms of thousands, millions and even billions of years.
To their discredit, the environmentalists and government use this “science”, without telling the “whole” story, to convince the naive and ignorant among us, into the belief that man is the sole cause of destabilizing the Earth’s eco-systems and must be regulated to the hilt to prevent total biological destruction. But like so many other things that we are told by those with hidden agendas, it “ain’t” true. Man-generated CO2 IS NOT, and I repeat, IS NOT causing global warming, no matter what environmentalists and governments are telling you. Saving every wetland on the Earth, at an incalculable cost to humans, is not going to save the Earth’s eco-systems because the Earth is constantly changing, with or without man’s presence. One only need look at the violent history of the Earth to confirm this fact.
But let’s talk about another fragile non-linear dynamic system that also operates at the edge of chaos ..... American constitutional freedom and its economic equilibrium. One of the significant attributes of a non-linear dynamic system, as is our form of government, is that it is almost impossible to predict what will happen in the next couple of hours, much less the next couple of decades, or centuries, if the system is “disturbed”. There are just too many variables to analyze, even for our most powerful computers. When we try to tweak the “system” we invariably fail to get the desired result and virtually always end up with unintended consequences. Here is just one glaring example from a previous article we wrote:
“Back in 1975 the U. S. Congress, always meddling in the private affairs of industry and the people, (more now, than ever) were convinced by the inmates of the environmental cult, to “convert” the emissions from automobile exhaust to less toxic substances, for the protection of that other God, Gai’a, the God of Earth. This new meddling would require a very expensive catalytic converter, that all cars are now equipped. What was that one less toxic substance the catalytic converter, converted the exhaust to? That’s right, you guessed it ..... carbon dioxide, CO2 in a chemist’s language. The very substance the government now says we must limit to impossible standards. What has the catalytic converter cost the American economy to produce a chemical that is now considered a pollutant and must be eliminated ..... probably trillions of dollars.”
American constitutional freedom operates very closely to the edge of chaos and it doesn’t take much “tweaking” to throw it into a tail spin. We are in that tail spin right now. The system has a certain amount of flexibility built into it, to adapt to slow changes, but not to the draconian changes that have been coming at us for the last 100 years.
Like the weather, American freedom and economic equilibrium are subject to the so-called “Butterfly Effect”, or worse, “a monkey wrench in the works”. From the early part of the 20th Century, evil men have been using wars, economic and natural disasters and manufactured emergencies as their monkey wrenches to strengthen their power over us. They have been very successful with a million “butterflies” and tens of thousands of “monkey wrenches” (laws). In 1913, they added the 16th Amendment authorizing the Federal Reserve and created the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) to collect taxes. This gave a private entity, manipulated by powerful men, total control over our nation’s money supply and thus total control over our economy. The IRS was given the power to enforce the collection of taxes on income that the government and this unaccountable private entity needed to fund whatever social, economic whim or power strategy they could conjure up.
FDR, aided and abetted by a willing congress and a complicit Supreme Court, (sound familiar) threw monkey wrenches into the “works” of our freedom and our economic stability and it is readily accepted that what he and they did, extended the Great Depression by 10 years ..... a direct result of “tweaking” a non-linear dynamic system that was in equilibrium and ending up with dire unintended consequences. The damage FDR and his willing accomplices did to freedom, liberty and the economic stability of this country, would fill volumes. The irreversible damage currently being done by Obama and his minions could spell the death knell of freedom and liberty in America, a freedom and liberty as those of us old enough to remember, knew it.
These same evil man and many more who have proceeded them, all the way up to our current president and U. S. congress, have made and are making people believe that the Supreme Law of the Land, our constitution, could be “tweaked” and they have tweaked our constitution for a fare-the-well so that what is left is hardly recognizable from the vision of our Founding Fathers. That tweaking has destabilized American Constitutional Freedom and raised a veritable Hell with our economic stability. America is out of equilibrium.
In spite of overwhelming evidence of the damage being done by unconstitutional government “tweaking”, government continues to charge headlong into the awaiting jaws of an enraged lion who shall extract its pound of flesh when the you know what hits the proverbial fan. Everything that this Administration and the out-of-control Congress are doing, can only lead to the ultimate destruction of freedom and economic stability in America and probably the rest of the world. Economic stability is now an oxymoron because our economic, free-market system, that operates at the edge of chaos, has entered the uncharted waters of chaos itself. Our freedom and economic stability have reached this stage for two reasons: 1) a government seeking greater power through outright manipulation and irrational tweaking of a self-correcting system, conceived in liberty and 2) an electorate who, at their own peril, has turned inward in the pursuit of instant gratification, while totally ignoring those who hold the power over them.
Unless the American people interject themselves into this destabilized system and forcefully exercise their God-given rights of individual independence and self direction, literally every part of their lives will be directed for them by the inmates who have continued to release “butterflies” and throw monkey wrenches into what was a well-designed and fairly smooth running machine, that when working properly, preserved, protected and defended the right to that very individual independence and self direction. To remain free, tens of millions of Americans must rise up now and stop those who throw the monkey wrenches into the “works” of our liberty, and they must do it by whatever means that are required to return the American dream of freedom to a state of equilibrium once again.
