Seriously undermining our cherished Constitution
Our Home Half of the Ninth Inning is Only 14 Months Away
On Sunday, September 06, 2009 a column was written by Neal Ross in “The Federal Observer” titled “Time Is Running Out” in which he talks about the current White House Administration and how it is seriously undermining our cherished Constitution and readying us for socialism and what we should do about it.
To my mind, Neal Ross’s piece is a lot of wishful thinking without a solid plan.
It’s as if he is saying that we can’t win until everybody gets the desire to join in the fray; and then only after the tyrants start to penalize those who would try to take back our country; then everybody must rise up and smite down the tyrants.
Wishful. There must be a plan and there must be leaders who can outline the plan and I don’t mean give away any secrets of how the plan will be executed except for the broadest efforts. And the first such effort is to unite all those of true conservative mind under leadership that will speak for the masses, as does the presidential usurper for his misguided individuals.
In his article, Ross equates our position today in a sports analogy of it being at the “two-minute mark in the fourth quarter of a football game down by two touchdowns and a field goal… and we have to do something quick.”
I don’t see it exactly like that; in fact, I believe it is the bottom on the ninth inning of a baseball game and we are down by a few runs but not so many that we can’t score enough to salvage the game. In this country, there’s always a chance to hit that walk-off home run. That’s what I’m counting on. I believe our ninth inning rally will begin in the 2010 elections since hearing of the Gallup poll survey that announced a country-wide majority of conservative voter as compared to liberal voters being significant.
I am convinced that we can elect enough conservatives in 2010 to regain control of Senate and put a huge dent in the liberal majority in the House of Congress protecting our Constitution and repealing any measures passed that would add to the destruction of our country.
Ross is in disagreement with this contention, and then goes on to denigrate a talked about Sean Hannity/Sarah Palin GOP 2012 ticket. Hannity is a very capable man and his thinking is of pure conservatism. However, I differ with the talk about a Hannity - Palin ticket in 2012. I believe he has the names in reverse of the correct order; Palin - Hannity.
Sarah Palin is far more experienced in governmental rule and has shown her capacity to stand up to would-be tyrants while campaigning in Alaska and taking down overblown candidates of BOTH parties. Against staggering odds she got the people of that state to turn out the entrenched but not-for-the-people candidates and went on to victory and has governed extremely well since.
Some have chided her tenure as Governor of what they call a “small” state. First, geographically it is the biggest in land mass of all fifty; bigger than the next three states of Texas, California and Montana combined. Alaska’s population may not be nearly as big but a governor must travel to every part of his or her state, no matter how few people will be there to extend a greeting.
Alaska is United States’ first line of defense and as such, is the only state with 24/7/365 duty for its National Guard. They must be on constant alert to prevent or warn of any foreign penetration of our defense network. The Governor must be ready to relay the warning information to the appropriate parties in order to prepare for our defense.
Some jest was made about certain individual’s qualifications for the one to answer the “red” phone in the White House at 3 a.m. Sarah Palin as Governor of Alaska would be eminently qualified because as such, she would have been the one most likely to be making that call to the White House; so she could very well know what to do on the receiving end.
Getting back to Neal Ross and his “Time Is Running Out” declaration; I agree that we must act soon to stop the current Administration from turning the greatest country in the world into the world’s most decayed and degenerated cesspool of poverty. This is Obama’s backer’s goal, to bring America to its knees, through little more than jealousy and not being proficient enough to do it by fair competition.
But 2012 should not be our starting point of recovery, 2010 can and shall be our focus for victory; with that, 2012 could be anti-climactic.
