Did you hear Obama's speech at the United Nation? Wasn't he great? So even handed and fair to everyone.
From my perspective it was more like "What the hell did he just say?!"
About the onus on the Palestinians he said they should end their incitement against Israel. Really? Is that all they have to do?
How come he didn't ask them to end their terror campaign? Stop the violence? End their incessant rocket attacks against Israeli towns and villages?
About this and more, not a word. Only to end incitement. If that was all we had to contend with the peace process would be a piece of cake.
And then he went on. Israel should end its continuous settlement. Not new settlement building as he had thrown into the pot months ago, but now it's continuous. In other words, ending everything that has been developed from the beginning.
And finally, the big clincher, so far as I was concerned – and I was concerned!...
The President of the United States, from the platform of the General Assembly of the United Nations, called for a contiguous Palestinian state.
Really? Have you looked at the map of Israel, the Gaza Strip, and the West Bank? There was never a contiguous region in the disputed territories that would be granted to the Palestinians. Never!
And if Obama forces the issue of a contiguous Palestinian state what is the result? Why, the result is a divided state of Israel! Cut in half by creating a contiguous Palestinian state. Don't believe me? Just go look at a map.
Prior to this a naïve Obama opened his mouth and demanded that Israel immediately stop all settlement activity. This mantra was adopted by Mahmoud Abbas. He even said that he would not negotiate with Israel until all settlement activity completely stopped. In other words, he sat back and let Obama become the chief negotiator for the Palestinian Authority.
Now Obama is pushing the envelope even further. Just wait until you hear the upcoming demands from the Palestinian leadership after Obama's speech.
Forget Gaddafi's speech. That was fun. Obama? Now his speech was dangerous.
