"America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves." -- Abraham Lincoln (1809-1865) Several readers have informed me that they would like to see a Palin/Bachmann ticket in 2012, and this article is an attempt to take an informal survey, to access how popular such a sentiment is.

I'd like to know your thoughts on this, so please email me through the comments section at the end of this article. In my last article, I mentioned being impressed by Bachmann's "intelligence, passion, and knowledge." I might also add, her patriotism. Palin and Bachmann are both, first and foremost, patriots, and we must return true American patriots to power. America has been sold down the river by a long line of slick talking, urbane, ivy league-type Collectivists (a progression of Progressives, if you will). We the people stand on the brink of having our country stolen from us by an international consortium of big corporations, banks, and Global Elitists. Such people do not put America first (although they often pretend they do). They put their wallets, and a Collectivist ideology first. America is being destroyed from within. This has been going on for some time, and it will not be enough to merely stop the insidious spread of Collectivism (call it what you will -- Marxism, Fascism, Communism, Communitarianism, Statism, Tribalism, Socialism, Globalism, etc.). We must stop it -- and reverse it. Or if you prefer, stop it, and move forward with the original intent of America's Founding Father's. The insidious collusion between government, Wall Street, the Federal Reserve, lobbyists, big corporations, and Collectivists, must end. Business as usual must end. America's survival demands it. That's not hyperbole -- America's about to go down the tube folks, in case you haven't noticed. It's time to break up the "good ol' boys" network in Washington D.C. Time to break it up forcefully, and break it up for good. There will be no free American Republic to pass on to our children, if we don't draw our line in the sand today. Michelle Bachmann has a background in tax law, and sits on the House Financial Services Committee, which oversees numerous financial sectors including housing, real estate, and banking. In addition, she and her husband run a small health-care facility, which employs around forty people. So she has hands-on experience with, and first-hand knowledge of, matters that are on America's front burner -- the economy, health care, small business concerns, taxes, banking, and housing. But much more importantly, she and Palin would bring an integrity, morality, and patriotism to Washington, that has been largely absent of late. Sarah Palin will bring charisma and experience to the ticket. She has had the klieg-light glare of a mean-spirited, vociferous liberal press aimed at her, and has taken the heat. She has high-level, inside knowledge, of the current sorry state of the Republican Party. She is not a Washington insider -- which is an immensely attractive quality, not a negative strike against her, as the snobbish, Beltway elite would have it. Unfortunately, much of the Republican leadership believes in the "Big Tent" doctrine, and can't seem to grasp that by trying to be everything to everyone, they wind up being nothing to anybody. Dede Scozzafava is just a blatant example of the milquetoast "conservatism" being offered to the American public by the Republican Party power elite. I look at the positions taken by moderate Republicans, including both Bush Presidents, and they sure look like Global Collectivists to me. Same tune as the Democrats, just a different beat to it. Either the Republican Party returns to Reagan-style conservatism, or they are finished as a party of national concern. Whether the Republicans can reassert their traditional values, or we need a new conservative party altogether, remains to be seen. Don't be too quick to buy into the reasoning of those who say that a third party, a new party, can't be made to work. Doug Hoffman's candidacy in New York, shows that the people can, and will, make a third party work -- if we so choose. As the Tea Party movement indicated, and Hoffman's candidacy proves, conservatives who place fiscal responsibility and patriotism, over slavish party loyalty and global collectivism, are a force to be reckoned with. I'm talking about Republicans, Democrats, and Independents, who are fed up with the status quo -- who love America, and long for strong patriotic leadership to turn us away from the suicidal course we have been on. Both Palin and Bachmann offer a life-giving breathe of fresh air to a conservative movement that's been gasping. What a concept! An American Presidential ticket whose candidates actually have first-hand knowledge of what it's like for the average American these days. A Palin/Bachmann ticket sounds intriguing to me. What do you think? Laus Deo.
