A Congress which passes bills containing thousands of pages which no one reads, and could not understand if they did, should keep this in mind.

From my conversations with others, and listening to the people at town hall meetings and tea party protests, this is what We The People want.
Smaller government
Lower taxes
Tort reform
Stop funding ACORN
Stop funding the United Nations which is even more corrupt than ACORN
Stop funding ACLU
Close the borders as much as possible. Impose heavy fines for employers who hire
illegals. Immediately deport any illegals caught. Immigration problem solved by
ENFORCING the laws now on the books. Cut off all federal funds to "sanctuary cities"
Make English the Official language
Term limits for all elected and appointed officials including judges.
Strict compliance with the Constitution for all legislation.
Since no where in the Constitution will you find "Separation of Church and State"
Revisit the Supreme Court ruling. Remembering that the Government is not Authorized to prevent anyone from, praying, displaying symbols of their religion, or celebrating religious holidays. The government according to the constitution cannot prevent those things, but is forbidden to require them.
No where in the Constitution does it give anyone the right NOT to be offended.
Theodore Roosevelt said:
"Educate a man in mind but not in morals and you educate a menace to society."
That principal solves the abortion problem.
