Exercise Choice…Go To Jail

It used to be, back when the medical profession was more blue collar than boardroom, a patient could pay for whatever service they needed out of pocket…or out of produce, if money was short. After all, doctors needed to eat as much as their patients did. Now, according to the commissars in Washington, if you try to pay for a doctor’s visit out of your own pocket you have committed a felony. That’s right, under Obamacare, exercise choice…go to jail.

That’s right. Under~the health care bill now being considered in the Senate Finance Committee, Americans who fail to pay a penalty for not buying insurance could be charged up to $25,000 by the Internal Revenue Service or face up to a year in jail. Congressional analysts have gone over the bill more times than Henry Waxman is comfortable with and that fact remains. No wonder Harry Reid has adamantly refused to allow posting of the final legislation before a vote.

This link, leads to a story by the only news network in the US willing to expose Obama’s dirty underwear, Fox. In it is revealed some details about the Baucus Bill which mandates that Americans would have a choice of purchasing an “approved” healthcare plan or eventually wind up in jail. As I told you before, in a handwritten note to Sen. John Ensign, R-Nev. from Joint Committee on Taxation Chief of Staff Tom Barthold, Barthold said violators could be charged with a misdemeanor and could face up to a year in jail or a $25,000 penalty. Choosing to use your own money to pay for medical care is not allowed under this bill. Having a Cadillac plan that rivals that given to members of Congress and the Senate is also considered a no-no. They are royalty and you are peasants; don’t you get it yet? Only those plans that fit the socialist agenda of a ruling class overseeing the lives of the underclass will be allowed to go on to the menu. 66% of the American economy is under siege.

I find a few things rather short sighted in the Baucus bill. For example, how many prisons are they going to have to build, especially since they are busy releasing thousands of prisoners early to avoid overcrowding? Imagine the exercise yard conversation,

“What are you in for?”

“Murder. You?”

“Paying my doctor out of pocket.”

“Ewww!”

Of course, this could all be yet another part of the Obama plan to create a dynasty with him at its head. Consider this, a felon can no longer vote in most states. Those of us stubborn enough to refuse to allow the Democrats to run our lives could very easily have our right to choose a real conservative as the next president taken away. Sure, the Senate has refused the public option, but have they really? With enough conservatives in jail the country is theirs. So what if every poll shows a strong majority disagree with this move, Obama wants it and that is enough for the mainstream media.
