Tareq Salahi, American Task Force on Palestine
Pro-Palestine Party Crashers
Ostensibly, White House party crashers Tareq Salahi and his wife could facilely be dismissed as another pair of publicity infatuated cretins. Commentators have been quick to compare them to the deranged Balloon Boy parents, desperate for fame at any price. Obamanutz devotes an entire chapter to the putrification of our pop culture that has spawned and enabled this kind of narcissism.
Two strangers getting access to the President of the United States is disturbing enough by itself. We were told early on that Salahi is “half Palestinian.” That’s not the half of it.
The Salahi’s are deeply in debt as a result of living far beyond their means and love consorting with the rich and famous. Salahi loves polo and wine.
Largely overlooked thus far is that Salahi also loves the American Task Force on Palestine (ATFP)
America’s Polo Cup’s web site’s bio of Salahi confirms:
“Salahi has made diplomatic visits to the Middle East and is arranging future matches both in the Kingdom of Jordan and in Dubai. “We will be sending over the U.S. team in 2007 to support charities in that region,” says Salahi, who is also a board member on the American Task Force on Palestine and fiercely committed to the task force’s goals for peace, freedom and democracy in the Middle East.”
Discoverthenetworks.org describes ATFP in less sanguine terms:
“ATFP’s President and Founder Ziad Asali was formerly President of the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee. ATFP’s Vice President is Columbia University professor of Middle East Studies Rashid Khalidi, the former Director of the PLO press agency and onetime moderator of the PLO Advisory Committee.”
Former PLO operative, Rashid Khalidi is the pro-terrorist friend of Barack Obama and Bill Ayers (Obamanutz, Pgs. 16-17).
Khalidi founded The Arab American Action Network (AAAN) which received funds from the Woods fund during the Obama-Ayers tenure.
Curiously, references to Salahi have been removed from the ATFP site.
Any breach of security on this level mandates a thorough investigation. When White House security is breached by a big spender in dire financial straits who is also a pro-Palestine activist, we had better be asking questions.
