Can Pelosi be so intellectually insolvent as to believe that healthier lives can be equated with being forced to purchase government mandated health insurance with premiums that have doubled

Nancy Pelosi Invokes the Founding Fathers to Justify the Health Care Reform Bill

A Mrs. Powel of Philadelphia asked Benjamin Franklin, "Well, Doctor, what have we got, a republic or a monarchy?" With no hesitation whatsoever, Franklin responded, "A republic, if you can keep it."

Leftists have an anomalous disposition towards this country's history, the Founding Fathers, and the Constitution. The expanding chasm between what the documented intentions were of the Founders, and the fantastical and unsupportable conjecture of the Founders intentions by Leftist ideologues, are inexhaustible. The truth of the Founders intentions and the true meaning of the Constitution lie not in Supreme Court case law, not in manufactured history by the Left, and certainly not in the ideological cesspool of the Democratic Party. The truth lies in reading the Constitution, a knowledge of history, and studying the commentaries by the authors, which clearly explains their intentions without the need of conjecturing intellectuals educated with propaganda 250 years later. Now along comes the consummate apparatchik of anti-Americanism, Nancy Pelosi, invoking the words of Thomas Jefferson, straight from the Declaration of Independence, to justify one of the most constitutionally usurping pieces of legislation written by Congress--the health care reform bill. Upon passing the bill, Pelosi said:
We will honor the vows of our founders, who in the Declaration of Independence said that we are “endowed by our Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.” This legislation will lead to healthier lives, more liberty to pursue hopes and dreams and happiness for the American people. This is an American proposal that honors the traditions of our country.
As effortlessly as the reading of Pelosi's statement glides off the educated reader's tongue, the words hauntingly danced off Pelosi's disoriented tongue, burdened with ignorance. When Pelosi speaks, especially regarding issues of substance, in that halting and bewildered cadence, it can be anecdotally substantiated that her cerebral synapses are greeting each other for the first time, again, as she tries to formulate strings of coherent sentences. Can Pelosi be so intellectually insolvent as to believe that healthier lives can be equated with being forced to purchase government mandated health insurance with premiums that have doubled, with less money due to a plethora of newly created middle-class taxes, and the consequence of going to jail and paying fines for not complying? Can she honestly believe that more liberty can be equated to being denied the liberty and freedom to choose your own policy on your own terms, or the liberty and freedom to choose not to purchase a policy without the threat of going to jail? And can she believe that this corrupt federal government can provide hopes and dreams and happiness when hopes and dreams and happiness have never been provided by this government, and to the contrary, almost all hopelessness and nightmares and misery reigned down on Americans can be attributed to our federal government? Hopes and dreams and happiness can only come from individuals being afforded the unfettered opportunity to pursue and acquire their hopes and dreams and happiness on their un-mandated terms. Scientifically speaking, Nancy Pelosi is the one definitive piece of evidence that proves, beyond a doubt, that evolution cannot exist. And she most assuredly cannot be a product of intelligent design. It is no wonder that Pelosi harps on about freedom and liberty, how absolutely liberated one must feel to not be encumbered by knowledge, morality, or principles. The naysayers, dissenters, and adversaries of her coup d'état methodology of lawmaking were instantaneous, acerbic, and legion. Perhaps it would be fitting to hear from her more erudite and vocal dissenters, especially the one quoted by Pelosi, one Thomas Jefferson:
“A democracy is nothing more than mob rule, where fifty-one percent of the people may take away the rights of the other forty-nine.” - Thomas Jefferson "Our democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not." - Thomas Jefferson "I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them." - Thomas Jefferson
The tyranny of a simple majority democratic government was an alarming fear of Jefferson's, and the other Founders. After the passage of the health care bill, Pelosi was crowned by The Economist and other publications as the "Most Powerful Woman in American History." It is not so much the title that causes severe nausea, but the ancillary components of Nancy Pelosi that should give pause to the patriotic: She has an 11% approval rating. Kim Jong-il's approval rating is 14%, and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's approval rating is 17%. Given that Jong-il and Ahmadinejad are accredited tyrants, and Pelosi's approval ratings are lower, forcing a law upon the country against the wishes of 62% of the people is corrupt to the core, and Nancy Pelosi and the Democratic Party are the tyrants that Jefferson feared. To be clear on another point: this was not just a simple majority victory by the Democrats. This vote swayed in the balance of being able to bribe of a few key Democratic congressmen. The few winning votes were purchased with taxpayer dollars. Without bribes, this bill would not have passed. Bart Stupak, and his band of holdouts, had the option of killing this bill, or killing unborn babies. He was bought for a couple hundred thousand dollars for Michigan airport improvements. A few statements from other dissenters of Pelosi and her ilk's chicanery:
"Remember, democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself." - John Adams "They who would give up an essential liberty for temporary security, deserve neither liberty nor security." - Benjamin Franklin "When the people find that they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic." - Benjamin Franklin "Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch. Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote." - Benjamin Franklin "The Constitution is not an instrument for the government to restrain the people, it is an instrument for the people to restrain the government--lest it come to dominate our lives and interests." - Patrick Henry “Democracy is the most vile form of government… democracies have ever been spectacles of turbulence and contention; have ever been found incompatible with personal security or the rights of property; and have in general been as short in their lives as they have been violent in their deaths.” - James Madison
How can politicians such as Pelosi, Obama, Reid, Boxer, FDR, Wilson, et al. win elections, reelections, and ascend to the pinnacle of American politics? The answer to that question was expressly divulged by two of the greatest enemies in history, Winston Churchill and Adolf Hitler, in congruence on democracy:
"What good fortune for governments that the people do not think." - Adolf Hitler “If you want a good argument against democracy, spend five minutes with a voter.” -Winston Churchill
If the wisdom of these great and erudite minds and their sage words, warning against the tyrannical dangers of a Democratic form of government, could be refuted in one sentence, that one sentence could only arise from the sophisticated and cosmopolitan mind of Joe Biden, America's Gaff Laureate, as he uttered these words to Barack Obama prior to his praising the passage of the health care reform bill, "This is a big f*@king deal." DO NOT call this country a democracy. This country was founded as a constitutional republic. The word democracy is not mentioned once in the Constitution, but, found in Article IV, Section IV, is the phrase, The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government.... This Democratic Party led Congress is precisely the type of simple majority tyranny the Founder's meant to protect this country against. And for the onerous taxes lying in wait to decimate the American middle-class, thanks to Nancy Pelosi, the Democrats, and Barack Obama, and for the sake of posterity, Will Rogers has chimed in on what to expect from this government now that this bill has passed: "If you make any money, the government shoves you in the creek once a year with it in your pockets, and all that don't get wet you can keep."
