Janet Napolitano’s “Lesson Learned” About Big Government

As the Gulf oil crisis enters its fourth week of unabated failure through the combined efforts of the Obama administration and BP, at least one Obama bureaucrat has had an epiphany about the limitations of big government.

That would be Secretary of Homeland Security, Janet Napolitano, who, in rare moment of candor, admitted what conservatives have always known: As a rule, government run by liberals gets in the way and hinders, rather than helps. OK, so those were not exactly Nappy’s words, or even a reasonable paraphrase. Still, as reported at politico.com, in part, Napolitano did put a well- deserved ding in the armor of her Marxist boss with these words:

“Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano, the first of several cabinet officials scheduled to testify on Capitol Hill this week, admitted the government has “limited capability and expertise” in dealing with such disasters in very deep water.”

That is terrific insight, Madam Secretary! A first for you I do believe! Odd that a similar conclusion was not reached by the media and leftists during W.’s response to hurricane Katrina! Perhaps it was that unsightly R next to President Bush's name? Still, your insight is so profound that you must take the initiative and share it with President Obama. You know that tall, tobacco-addicted fellow in the Oval Office who mistakenly believes that government should be in charge of every aspect of every American’s life including: *Deciding who should be born and not, *Deciding when one has made “enough” money and should therefore be forced to spread the wealth by an over-bearing, know it all, Marxist government, *Deciding when one’s life is no longer worth the costly care and medicine needed to sustain,and on and on. Please Madam Secretary, share your incredible words of wisdom with your boss and encourage him to get government off the backs of the American people!
