When a nation’s future is in the balance, drastic measures are required
Send in the Marines and Take Control of Our Borders!
Even in normal times, it is insane for a nation to have open borders where anyone for any reason can enter without restrictions. Then when you consider a time of war, national pestilence, or terror, it is doubly insane to permit unrestricted entry into a nation. That’s about where the U.S. is today. With an astronomical increase in crime, with burgeoning welfare roles, with cities and states whining about being out of money and paying employees with “promises to pay,” with hundreds of thousands of Americans out of work and more to follow, we still have almost open borders! We might as well put up a huge sign on our southern border: “Terrorists and other illegal aliens Welcome! Follow the arrows to Tucson!” Some sensitive nuts may even suggest that we build a “WelcomeCenter” at the border to refresh them before they continue their illegal journey! Maybe an additional sign promising “free medical care and education”! The Mexican government is actually helping them come and US groups are helping them enter!
Every day thousands of illegal aliens cross into the U.S. from Mexico carrying drugs, disease, and destructive plans for our nation. Most want to pick tomatoes or find other jobs; however, if tomato pickers can slip in, so can terrorists. Yet, we have major politicians, including President Obama, who are so unconcerned they want to give amnesty to those gatecrashers already here! I say, “deport all of them.”
Few people remember President Eisenhower’s “Operation Wetback” response to the illegal alien invasion. Upon taking office in 1953 he implemented systematic police sweeps of Hispanic neighborhoods, “random stops and ID checks” of those who appeared to be Mexican. I think that’s called, “profiling.” He even deported American-born minor children of aliens! Moreover, many Mexicans were taken by bus, train, and ships deep into Mexico to discourage their return to America. It is estimated that from 500,000 to 700,000 illegal aliens left Texas for Mexico rather than be caught in the roundup.
With up to 20 million illegal aliens in our country, it is time for “Operation Wetback II” or is that “Son of Operation Wetback”? Whatever, it is time to get started. To those who say, “It can’t be done” I say, “When a nation’s future is in the balance, drastic measures are required.” No, we won’t find them all but we can get most of them. Moreover, with energetic prosecution of American firms who hire illegal aliens, a cut-off of all welfare, and a practical guest worker program we can solve most of the illegal alien problems.
Should U.S. taxpayers be expected to finance illegal immigrants? I can defend the position that we should not finance legal immigrants. There are non-thinkers, even “evangelical” Christians, who defend illegal aliens getting all kinds of welfare benefits! Such gullible people would qualify as Lenin’s “useful idiots.”
We must admit that if large numbers of Mexicans, legal or illegal, enter the U.S. it will relieve some of Mexico’s social and economic problems, but what will it do to America? By what twisted logic are U.S. citizens expected to take their hard-earned money to provide for foreigners, especially foreigners who are criminals? Maybe it can be justified if you worship at the shrine of global government, but no thinking person does that, do they?
Now there are reports that a large part of Arizona is literally controlled by Mexican drug lords! May I humbly suggest that we do what we have done for two hundred years and “call out the marines”? It might take 24 hours to clean out the drug lords, but it can be done and should be done. After all, if Janet Reno and Bill Clinton were willing to use the F.B.I., A.T.F. and the National Guard to lay siege to and finally (after 51 days) incinerate 82 harmless, American citizens at Waco (including 22 children), surely we can justify using extreme force to remove this scab on the great state of Arizona. The cultists in Waco were strange, immoral people, a split off the Seventh Day Adventist group (who rightly had denounced them) but they did not deserve to be gunned and burned to death by their government!
It was shocking that people of principle did not refuse to obey the military and law enforcement officials who directed the slaughter. Principled people do what is right even if the stars fall from Heaven. After all, everyone admits that the officers and enlisted men at My Lai, Viet Nam should have refused orders to kill innocent civilians. What happened at Waco? They were just “following orders” but that dog won’t hunt there either.
It is time to take charge of our borders, keep out illegal aliens, apprehend those now living in the U.S. illegally and demand that our “friends” south of the border stop playing the hypocrite and close their northern border as they have their southern border. It’s past time to get started.
