In light of Canada's failed bid to gain a seat at the UN Security Council we are concerned that Prime Minister Stephen Harper will concede to the immense pressure brought to bear against him by Islamic forces in Canada and abroad. It has been reported that the entire Islamic bloc of 57 countries voted against Canada. In order to gain the seat Canada would have had to secure 95% of the remaining votes. Canada achieved 114 votes representing 84% of the non Muslim states.

Dr. Charles McVety, President of Christians United for Israel states “It is regrettable that the Canadian Arab Federation was lobbying against our country while receiving unparallel access to the highest levels of Canada’s government. In their press release on September 24th they “urged all Arab and Muslim missions at the United Nations to vote against Canada.” In response Christians and Jews will gather together at Canada Christian College, 50 Gervais Drive, Toronto for an Emergency Rally – Canada for Israel, Sunday October 17th at 6:00 pm. The keynote speaker will be Israeli Vice-Prime Minister Moshe Ya’alon, former Chief of Staff of the Israeli Defence Forces and former Head of Military Intelligence. No admission fee. It is our hope and prayer that Prime Minister Stephen Harper see hundreds of Christians and Jews standing shoulder to shoulder urging him to continue to be the most supportive Prime Minister in Canada’s history.
