Just as we find ourselves a mere whisper away from double digit unemployment, our inept Commander in Chief runs off to Afghanistan where he will lecture General Petraeus on how to run a war without winning.

It’s the Christmas season and retailers should be adding jobs, albeit temporarily.  Instead, we lost 28,000 retail jobs.

Hamid Karzai will be spared a meeting with Obama.  A planned tête-à-tête was scrapped due to “bad weather.”

Secure video conferencing was also abandoned but Karzai could still be forced to listen to Obama’s pontifications via telephone.

Obama’s prized Deficit Commission has been a complete flop.  The new unemployment numbers are miserable.  What else could our poor president do other than flee the country and hope it all blows over?
