Realities of life is not always getting what you want or think that you need, but embracing and enjoying the things that you already have. The enduring love of a family member and the kindness of a friend are things that money cannot buy. These are things that we overlook in our quest to have what may be popular at the moment, they become overlooked when we evaluate what makes up our personal realities.

Together we make possible for those that we care for the ability to overcome the many diversities that life affords. This has much more meaning in the long term than what we can dream up when we look to the exchanging the material gifts that we so much adore. As we consider the gifts that we give or receive, let us consider that there are those who may not share in the same wealth that we have when we come together with our family members and friends. Reality of life is that many do not have the same opportunity to share the wonderful gift of having those that will stand beside you in your times of need, or to share in your times of joy. The telling of stories, sharing of family history are gifts that are priceless beyond imagination. When we share with those that are younger than us the histories that make up our family, we are sharing the history that makes us who we are and what they may become. Our life's realities revolve around these simple gifts that we can share. When we look across the room at those that we love the most let us not be concerned that we may not have been able to exchange a gift of want, but that we have been able to share a gift of love that will last much longer than anything that may be desired at the moment. Breaking of bread and sharing a meal a reality of simple joy and laughter around the table and the chance of enjoying a memories that will last a life time. These are the realities of life that we can be thankful for. This holiday season as we come together with those we care for the most lets embrace the things that mean the most and not worry about the things that we may not get or have. Enduring love and kindness of friends and family are the true blessings that we can share with one another, all other material things that we may think that we need or want do not compare in life's reality.
