Those who are waiting for a democratic Egypt are in for a long wait. Egypt was a military dictatorship under Hosni Mubarak.
Egypt is a military dictatorship under its current rulers. Egypt will continue to be a military dictatorship after the “tumult and the shouting dies” and the BBC and CNN depart.
