Those who are calling on the U.S. to chill Robert Mugabe, now that Osama bin Laden is Kaput, don’t understand the situation. One letter to the editor of a national newspaper pointed out that if Mugabe had been taken out years ago many of his victims would be alive today.
True. But they’d still be living in mortal fear under some other tyrant. The big question is what does it take to drum into first-world politicians’ numb-skulls that democracy cannot be forced fed to third-world tribes who haven’t the faintest idea of what democracy is all about?
