Good morning, and welcome back to Ridin Out the Recession. We hope everyone is doing fine and life is good for all! Deb and I have a good, good friend who is a large commercial property owner. We met through our business and became fast friends. He calls me “the big brother,” and I refer to him as my “little brother.”
He came to the States from India in 1959, became a U.S. citizen, and honestly, I don’t believe I know a nicer individual. He’s a retired nuclear engineer, and once retired he began developing malls and strip centers. He’s the most common, down to earth man I’ve ever met and always is willing to give someone a hand if need be. He IS…one great guy! He believes in holistic healing, uses natural cures and remedies, and doesn’t even take an aspirin. He’s a vegetarian as well. He’s healthy as a horse and from this standpoint alone, Deb and I listen closely when conversing with him in regards to health purposes. With this being said, I have something he gave to me that I’d like to share with you guys today.

I had a heart attack in June of 08…a massive heart attack. Since then I’ve been on all types of drugs for my heart condition. Seven, to be exact. The Doctor who saved my life after being airlifted to the hospital told me that I had the same heart attack that the news correspondent, Tim Russert did. It was God’s will that allows me to be here gabbing to you guys today. I am…very fortunate. Anyway…there’s a little history in regards to today’s story. Our buddy, whom I’ll call “Mr. D” from here out, is always digging and researching into something. He basically doesn’t have much idle time, and he works about 16-17 hours a day. This is because…he wants to. This is his life, and he derives his enjoyment from staying busy. More...

Dub and Deb——

‘Ridin Out The Recession With Dub and Deb in “Miz Judi’s Kitchen’!

Note to Readers: There are a few things that Dub doesn’t know but one thing he does know is that the word ‘Riding’ (as in Riding Out the Recession) is spelled with a ‘g’ at the end.  But Dub not only walks the walk, but speaks like he is: down home, true blue, and plain speakin’ country folk.

Dub and Deb are both native Floridians, live in Central Florida, and run a small business as well. They have five children, and seven grandchildren.

Both love to cook, love to laugh, grow a garden, and generally try to “aggravate” most anyone around them basically…all in good fun, of course!
