If the GOP/TEA continues to tear itself up even after a nominee is chosen, America’s path to destruction with Obama at the wheel will be the accident we deserve
As unenthusiastic as the “progressive/liberal/socialist” voters may be with Barack Obama, they will come out in droves to vote for him in 2012. “Droves” meaning of course, massive voter fraud, dead voters, multiple votes, voter intimidation and general illegal activity on the Democratic side.
However, Obama can be defeated depending on who from the GOP ranks is on the ticket. But first, let me back up a bit and consider what would make the re-election of Obama an almost certainty.
Getting rid of Biden (he may step down for health reasons) and teaming up with Hillary. Even insiders like Robert Reich and Dick Morris have mused on this possibility.
Cooking the economic numbers to show unemployment heading under 8%.
Blowing smoke up Iran’s butt, possibly confronting the Iranians in the gulf or assisting Israel in taking measures against Iran’s nuclear program.
Running the most negative campaign possible while pretending to stay above the dirt. This is accomplished by allowing everyone else (unions, ACORN, etc.) to do your dirty work.
A fractured and disenchanted GOP/TEA!
The last point here is the most telling. The current mood of conservatives in America is resentment not so much at Obama, but at the GOP field of candidates. Republicans are known to eat their own, and this primary warm up has been a veritable smorgasbord of a food fight. Thanks to the MSM, we know more about every GOP hopeful’s past, including every failed policy, peccadillo, and personality problems than we know about a guy who’s been president for three years.
The press is not only a lapdog for Obama, but is intensely involved in digging up every buried bone, outing every skeleton, and parading every criticism at whoever rises to the top.
Larry Flynt offered a million dollars to anyone who could reveal Rick Perry’s extra-marital affairs. No one is collecting that check. Newt’s past is so legendary that in spite of any personal aberrations, he’s still a serious challenger. Romney’s Achilles heel is Romneycare which makes conservatives bristle and it may also make them stay home should Mitt get the nomination. His Mormonism may be a factor among evangelicals but for two factors: There are high ranking Mormons already serving in the House and Senate; evangelicals for the most part do not think Obama is a real Christian.
So it appears that if Obama needs help aside from the illegal push by those aforementioned, Hillary Clinton could indeed step in as the VP candidate. Which makes the GOP VP choice on the ticket so interesting.
Here are a few possibilities: Romney/Rubio (forget the natural born argument which the SUPCO never heard about the current resident in the WH); Romney/Gingrich; Romney/ Bachmann; Romney/Santorum; Romney/Perry—and the list goes on. You can repeat the pattern with Gingrich, Santorum, Perry, Bachmann ad infinitum.
The point is this. Should Hillary run as the veep, Romney would need a Rubio (translated strong conservative) on the ticket. I realize this is all speculation, but one thing is certain. If the GOP/TEA continues to tear itself up even after a nominee is chosen, America’s path to destruction with Obama at the wheel will be the accident we deserve.
