Bread and Racial Circuses

Forget the bread. The economy is in the toilet and unless you know someone who ponied up for a front row seat at an Obama fundraiser, it's staying there. 'Better together' is the slogan, which means it only gets better if you stay together with The One. And I don't mean vote for him, I mean get the hook up. Just ask Warren Buffett, economic reform crusader, billionaire class warrior and inside dealer.
But don't worry, we may not have bread, but we do have racial circuses, brought to you live with occasional commercial interruptions by every network and news site in America. Forget the bread, we've got a new OJ Simpson trial, except with the races reversed and a defendant without a whole lot of money who's already being lynched by a corrupt prosecutor looking to build a political career over his body. The Trayvon-Zimmerman trial may not be the trial of the century, but it can strive to be the trial of the election. One of those things that reminds black voters to vote along racial solidarity lines, reminds white voters to feel guilty about how racist our white hispanic country is and distracts everyone from the economy.

The losers in this are everyone not named Barack Obama or Angela Corey, who will suddenly be the country's most famous prosecutor since Marcia Clark and the subject of adoring profiles from the media that fall just short of a tongue bath. While the circus goes on, the thieves keep thieving. Obama doesn't care about Trayvon Martin, he cares about staying in office for another term. Angela Corey doesn't care about Trayvon Martin, she built her career on running people like him through the system on dubious grounds. What she cares about is climbing up the ladder, getting her greasy little hands on some of that government money, and becoming a bigger boss in the government crime syndicate. Angela Corey, a cynical creature of the political-judicial system, is the perfect front-woman for the charade. When it's convenient she charges a 12 year old as an adult. When it's convenient she will dodge the jury and beamingly declare unsupportable charges against Zimmerman. It doesn't even matter whether she wins or loses. Her career wins either way. If she loses, she claims racial bias by the jury. It's perfect and perfectly corrupt. It's the way we live now. The ultimate losers in the racial circus are the black community whose leaders have once again bamboozled them into a racial and racist panic, complete with hate crimes, for their own benefit. The Sharptons and Jacksons will cash in, but the black community has once again learned the wrong lesson, and remains poorly adapted to dealing with a multiracial society. The demographic future of America looks a lot like George Zimmerman and a Hispanic America will have very little time and patience for racial grievance mobs, and will have no reservoirs of white guilt to tap. The black community should be looking at Mexico and further south to understand what they need to prepare for. Instead they're being led around the nose by racial hucksters who promise them a white guilt utopia with affirmative action for all. It's a lie and the lie will come undone in the lifetimes of their children. The rainbow coalition will not last past the day that there is a Latino majority that is prepared to take ownership of the country. It will be casually racist in a way that white people have not been in generations. And it will shut out the black community as soon as it no longer needs the alliance. The tragedy of the black community is that it has discarded its opportunities for upward mobility while it had the chance and every possible privilege and incentive. It will be doomed to struggle in a system that is both corrupt and has no special liking for them. A system that will not only not give them any privileges, but will be actively biased against them. The window of opportunity is closing fast while black leaders yell about white devils and mug for the camera. That is the real tragedy of a black community that found a thousand excuses why it could not do things, until the opportunity to do them was gone.

LABOR UNIONS SEND SWEDEN INTO THE TOILET

The threat of a toilet paper shortage looming large over Sweden on Wednesday after a labour union warned it would block deliveries from several Swedish toilet paper factories in a show of solidarity with another union group negotiating for higher pay. "We're going to block goods from leaving factories in Lilla Edet, Marestad, Pauliström, and Nyboholm," Matts Jutterström of the Pappers labour union told the labour trade publication Dagens Arbete. The action, which is set to go in effect on April 23rd, could wipe out toilet paper and paper towel supplies in stores across Sweden. This isn't as crazy as it sounds. For anyone who has lived in a country overrun by unions, this is life as usual. It's even less fun when vital professionals begin going on strike. Meanwhile Greece's economic implosions is wiping out the nanny state with unfortunate results. Two years of austerity cuts have brought Greece's state-run health care system to its knees, and the mental health sector is among the hardest hit. Twenty-five years of progress in the system are in jeopardy and staff shortages and facility closures have left many of Greece's mentally ill stranded on the streets, doctors say. Many of the mentally ill are there because their families can’t afford to help them anymore. Next up, Rhode Island. And that's actual social Darwinism. It's what happens when you set up a system that is unsustainable and tell people that it will be around forever and trash your economy to pay for it. You wind up with no toilet paper and mentally ill people sleeping on the street. Welcome to Utopia. Keep your shiv in your left pocket and your identification papers in your right. The surveillance cameras are watching, taxes are going up, protests have closed off three major streets, there will be no meat or petrol for the next week, if you want to pick up some black market brandy, you'll need some Renminbis. No one takes dollars or euros anymore except the gov stores and they don't have anything but a few basic staples. Your leg hurts but it's still another month before you can see a doctor. The election will be in a week, but there are only two parties, left and lefter. Both promise to fight for the people, but if you get attacked again on the way home, you'll have to fight for yourself.

JUST OVER THE RAINBOW...

Just over the rainbow is a magical world where everyone is free and happy.... in the Muslim world. Just ask Turkish spokesliar and head of the OIC. "The places of worship of all three Abrahamic religions sit peacefully side-by-side in cities where Islam is the dominant religion, including Damascus, Baghdad, Cairo and İstanbul, and the followers of these faiths live together in peace," Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Secretary-General Ekmeleddin İhsanoğlu has said. Not to mention Mecca. We mustn't forget all the churches of Mecca. But wait... İhsanoğlu’s remarks came after a controversial statement by Saudi Grand Mufti Sheikh Abdulaziz Al al-Shaikh, who said in a March fatwa that new church building should be banned in the Gulf region and existing Christian houses of worship should be destroyed. “I believe this is a personal opinion rather than being the opinion of a state or an official,” İhsanoğlu said in an interview this week with Today’s Zaman. “It is a historically well-known fact that Islam respects the religions of ahl al-kitab (People of the Book) and their houses of worship.” By historically well known, İhsanoğlu means totally made up. But isn't Saudi Arabia a country where Islam is the dominant religion? Why aren't there members of three religions living there side by side? İhsanoğlu's own examples rely on Syria, Iraq, Egypt and Turkey-- countries which were comparatively secular when contrasted with the Gulf states. And İhsanoğlu knows it. For that matter it's two religions. There are hardly any Jews living in Cairo or Damascus anymore. None in Baghdad. Istanbul's Jewish community was attacked by Muslim terrorists repeatedly and synagogues there have massive security. There certainly is nothing "peaceful" about going to a synagogue through bomb detectors and armed security. Security that mosques don't require. Turkey’s head of the Religious Affairs Directorate, Mehmet Görmez, also lashed out at the grand mufti’s call against churches in the Gulf region. Görmez told Today’s Zaman earlier this month that the announcement is in total contradiction to the peaceful teachings of Islam, and he cannot accept the fatwa, as it runs contrary to the centuries-old Islamic teachings of tolerance and the sanctity of institutions belonging to other religions. Which you can tell by visiting the Hagia Sophia, formerly a church, pillaged by Muslim invaders and transformed into a mosque in this lovely scene of Islamic tolerance. In 1453 Sultan Mehmed laid siege to Constantinople, driven in part by a desire to convert the city to Islam. The Sultan promised his troops three days of unbridled pillage if the city fell, after which he would claim its contents himself. Hagia Sophia was not exempted from the pillage, becoming its focal point as the invaders believed it to contain the greatest treasures of the city. Shortly after the city’s defenses collapsed, pillagers made their way to the Hagia Sophia and battered down its doors. Trapped in the church, congregants and refugees became booty to be divided amongst the invaders. The building was desecrated and looted, and occupants enslaved or slaughtered; a few of the elderly and infirm were killed, and the remainder chained. When the Sultan and his cohort entered the church he insisted it should be at once transformed into a mosque. One of the Ulama then climbed the pulpit and recited the Shahada. The church has still not been returned to Christians, and Christians have been threatened for trying to pray there. Some 250 Greek-Americans intent on holding a religious service at Istanbul’s Hagia Sophia have canceled their plans for the rite after receiving a strongly worded statement from Turkish authorities. Chris Spirou, head of the "International Congregation of Agia Sophia" and the leader of the group that had been waiting in the border city of Alexandropoulos to enter Turkey early Friday, said they had received a statement from Turkish authorities noting that the country viewed the group’s intention as provocative. The group leader, however, said their sole intention had been to pray at the site, which has been closed to worship for 75 years. But don't worry, Turkey is completely different from Saudi Arabia. It's not like it conducts blasphemy prosecutions. The İstanbul Prosecutor's Office has launched an investigation against pianist Fazil Say over statements he made on Twitter about Islam and Islamic values. Earlier this week, Say sent controversial tweets questioning whether heaven in Islamic belief is like a brothel or pub because the Quran says there are rivers of drinks and houris [very beautiful women] in heaven for those who commit good deeds while they are on earth. Has David Cameron called Turkey a model of Islamic democracy yet? Oh, Obama has. Excellent.

OBAMA CAMPAIGN DECLARES WAR ON GRAMMAR, TRUTH AND SANITY

1. Romney's positions are the most radically anti-women of any candidate in a generation Far be it from me to take issue with the contention that the Republican Party is at war with half the human race, but shouldn't that be anti-woman, rather than anti-women. I may just be tried from one of several long days, but it seems based on Google search that "Anti-women" is now the new usage. But this is part of a laundry list of "Why Romney is the Devil and Obama is your Savior" reasons. Reasons like Romney would repeal Obamacare (yes they're using the word now), which is not really that compelling of an argument because the country seems for it. Insurance companies would once again be allowed to run up premiums, unjustifiably deny coverage for pre-existing conditions, drop patients when they get sick, discriminate against women by charging them more for coverage than men, and spend more of your premium dollars on CEO profits and bonuses instead of your actual health care. On the other hand we would have the option not to pay them premiums with which to spend on bonuses and profits for CEO's. What a crazy anarchic world that would be. You mean you're allowed to not give CEO's money? You have the option not to buy things? Amazing. But let's face it this one is the prize plum in the pudding. Romney is a risk when it comes to foreign policy and national security. Sure, you never know what Romney might do. I mean he might turn over the Middle East to the Muslim Brotherhood, alienate all our allies, help Al-Qaeda take over Libya and promise sweetheart deals to Russia after the election. Oh wait that's the guy running against him. To make Romney qualify as a risk on foreign policy and national security compared to Barry Jihad, Mitt would have to sign an agreement to sell all our nuclear missiles to China, arm the military with nerf bats and appoint the Muslim Brotherhood to half the positions in the cabinet. And he'd still only be neck and neck as a security risk with the bower-in-chief to Saudi Arabia. On many of these questions, he has shifted his position for political reasons, even within the same campaign. No kidding. Much like saying one thing at AIPAC and then taking it back an hour later... in two campaigns. His only clear commitment is to endless wars: This is truly priceless from the man who began one new war and is plotting a fourth war in Syria. He has no plan to end the war in Afghanistan and would leave our troops there indefinitely. But Obama has a plan. The plan is to uhh... we're going to beat the Taliban, but then we're going to surrender to them. The future of Afghanistan is bright, now let's blame Karzai and ask the Muslim Brotherhood for help.

SOCIOPATH IN CHIEF?

We disagree with notion that Obama is a sociopath. He’s a progressive leftist, a post-modern Democrat, and that translates into a virulently anti-Israel ideology if not outright Jew-hatred. The Democrats are no longer the political party of Henry “Scoop” Jackson, Daniel Moynihan, or even John and Robert Kennedy. The Dems have, in their Orwellian parlance, evolved into a mob of Marxists, Socialists, Environmentalists, Occupy Nihilists, Earth Warmers, Victimhood groupies, all-purpose radical leftists whose tolerance of the intolerant—black racism, Islamism, Jew-hatred—is disguised as multiculturalism. Is Obama a sociopath? It's a semi-interesting question, though you have to take into account that no legitimate or even semi-legitimate diagnosis can be made of an actual condition in this way. Here's what I wrote back in the day. This is the problem with filling a cabinet full of bright people who don't understand responsibility or long term thinking. While their intelligence should allow them to solve most problems, the situations they are confronted with are social, not abstract. And they lack empathy for the people involved, any sense of them as individuals, and any real understanding that they will also have to live with the long term consequences of those decisions. To the Sociopath, most situations come down to, "How Do I Make Person X Do What I Want." This sounds a lot like the Cass Sunstein theory of 'Nudges'. The government acting as manipulator getting people to do what they're being told, while making them think it's their own idea is exactly what a sociopath would think of as a brilliant solution. It is a perfect illustration of a mind that is intellectually aware that people are individuals, but does not understand or empathize with it as a gut level. Here's a brief list of some of the behavior traits of sociopaths;
  • Are they cavalier about the truth, and capable of telling lies to your face?
  • Have they no apparent sense of remorse, shame or guilt?
  • Is their charm superficial, and capable of being switched on to suit immediate ends?
  • Do they enjoy taking risks, and acting on reckless impulse?
  • Are they quick to blame others for their mistakes?
  • Do they have no qualms about sponging off others?
  • Are they sexually promiscuous?
  • Would you regard them as essentially irresponsible?
Now there aren't very many sociopaths as people are led to assume based on books and movies, that said the underlying attitude of the sociopath is becoming particularly common as society disintegrates. Still see if you can map some of these traits onto the greying juvenile delinquent in the White House. A. There is a pervasive pattern of disregard for and violation of the rights of others occurring since age 15 years, as indicated by three (or more) of the following:
  1. failure to conform to social norms with respect to lawful behaviors as indicated by repeatedly performing acts that are grounds for arrest
  2. deceitfulness, as indicated by repeated lying, use of aliases, or conning others for personal profit or pleasure
  3. impulsivity or failure to plan ahead
  4. irritability and aggressiveness, as indicated by repeated physical fights or assaults
  5. reckless disregard for safety of self or others
  6. consistent irresponsibility, as indicated by repeated failure to sustain consistent work behavior or honor financial obligations
  7. lack of remorse, as indicated by being indifferent to or rationalizing having hurt, mistreated, or stolen from another
We don't know enough about Obama's background to state anything about a Conduct Disorder, and while I would not state that Obama is a sociopath as a medical disorder, his behavior adjoins it. His public persona is shallow and manipulative. He fails to plan ahead and runs on impulse. He is easily irritable, quick to lash out, but also able to conceal this side of himself from public view, which is why many sociopaths prosper, he has no sense of obligation toward others or sense of guilt or remorse for his actions.
