Ship it to the North Pole:

UN should be declared an Instant Heritage Site

With enabling from UNESCO’s World Heritage Committee, Bethlehem’s Church of the Nativity is being considered for inclusion on the prestigious list during its next meeting, from June 24 to July 6, in St. Petersburg. UNESCO (the United Nations Education, Scientific & Cultural Organization) is aiding and abetting the Big Lie from the Palestinians who claim that “Jesus was a Palestinian”. “UNESCO said Monday it will for the first time consider a Palestinian site for its World Heritage List, after the Palestinians controversially joined the UN heritage body last year.” (AFP, June 4, 2012).
“Palestine, which became a member of UNESCO in October 2011 and subsequently ratified the World Heritage Convention, will be presenting its first site for inscription on the World Heritage List,” UNESCO said. The full site to be listed (surprise, surprise!) would be the “Birthplace of Jesus: Church of the Nativity and the Pilgrimage Route, Bethlehem, the church being the most popular tourist draw in the Palestinian Territories, welcoming some 1.5 million visitors in 2010.

Like the Buccaneers of yore who plundered the seas, UNESCO continues--systematically--to claim as its own, all the earth’s crown jewels, natural, historic and cultural. No sites, from the picturesque fishing villages of the Canadian East Coast, to the homesteads of America’s founding fathers and everything in between, are safe from the greedy grasp of the United Nations. “A UNESCO World Heritage Site is a place (such as a forest, mountain, lake, desert, monument, building, complex, or city) that is listed by UNESCO as of special cultural or physical significance.” (Wikipedia). “The list is maintained by the international World Heritage Programme administered by the UNESCO World Heritage Committee, composed of 21 state parties which are elected by their General Assembly.” “The programme was founded with the Convention Concerning the Protection of World Cultural and Natural Heritage, which was adopted by the General Conference of UNESCO on November 16, 1972. Since then 189 parties have ratified the convention. “As of 2011, 936 sites are listed: 725 cultural, 183 natural, and 28 mixed properties, in 153 States Parties.” The Statue of Liberty is a UNESCO heritage site as is Independence Hall. Your bronzed baby shoes would likely be declared heritage by UNESCO if its officials could find a way to list them. A prime example of peace-loving UNESCO aggression was the bite they put on beloved Mount Vernon. When considering whether the historic Washington estate belongs on the United Nations list of World Heritage sites, according to some international culture experts, “there’s just too much George”. (Washington Post, July 3, 2009). That’s UNESCO respect for American history at work. Why is UNESCO able to claim any and all of Earth’s cherished treasures as their own? According to UNESCO’s home page, “The program catalogues, names and conserves sites of outstanding cultural or natural importance to the common heritage of humanity”. Conserving “sites of outstanding cultural or natural importance to the common heritage of humanity” is the typical lofty lexicon of UN bloated bureaucrats. In giving Palestinians the jump up on owning the Savior, the UN is shown at its hypocritical best. Gaia, not Jesus, is the UN’s god. Who could expect a godless organization to show any respect for Christianity? Long masquerading as the holy of holies, the United Nations is the world’s largest Cathedral of New Age. The UN’s assigned place for worship is “The UN Meditation Room”. “The custodian of this ominous shrine is the Lucis Trust, formerly known as the Lucifer Publishing Company.” (Gary J. Eddlleman, 2001 Constitution Party of Illinois). And for those who think that the UN Meditation Room is an out-of-use relic from the days of Dag Hammarskjold who inspired it, first pit stop for incoming UN Chief Ban ki-Moon on his first day on the job back in 2007? The Meditation Room. Meanwhile, the United Nations should be declared a heritage site. It should be packed and sent off of American soil and delivered to the North Pole.
