There are several lessons to be learned from the Scott Walker win in Wisconsin. The first and most notable is that the American people will support a man of principle. Scott Walker did what he promised in the election and voters rewarded him. We are yearning for leaders to tell us the truth. We know the difference between political posturing and a dose of honesty.
In the short term, the political promises sound good but in the long run, tough decisions carried out by firm, fair leaders wins the day. Thank goodness we are still a people who recognize the difference.
The second lesson is that the Tea Party is not as dead as some would have one believe. All across the country the Tea Party is throwing support behind conservative candidates and sharing the issues that will define this election. Scott Walker is the only the beginning.
His battle was won but the war is far from over.
