O CANADA DAY!

July 1st means party time
from sea-to-sea-to-sea
as the strains of O Canada
wafts on the summer air
laughing children full of fun
splashing madly in the sun
and popsicle-sticky-fingers
everywhere
barbecue smells and bicycle bells
horseshoes ring and baseballs fly
it’s Canada Day and all is well
beneath our tranquil northern sky.
