Islamophobia isn’t confined to the U.S. and Canada, it’s rampant in Western Europe. And when you read or watch media reports from the Middle East and North Africa it’s easy to see why. And worst of all are the non-Arab Iranian Muslims who say they will settle for nothing less than the complete destruction of Israel.
As for Afghanistan, Libya and Iraq, all the signs indicate they will revert to their old dictatorial ways after the U.S. military returns home. So long as the U.S. is dependent on Middle East oil it will be entangled, and so will Canada, in its politics. Those who are opposed to the development of the Alberta oil-sands are not looking at the big picture.
