I don't vote, so I can't complain.
Our political system is a train wreck

Over the years I have been told many times “You can’t complain if you don’t vote.” This is an illogical statement.
The present representatives of our political system didn’t just appear, they were elected by voters. The train wreck we have now; a totally dysfunctional congress, an unknown, unqualified president with a hidden past were all put into office by voters.
Self serving, incompetent career politicians are regularly replaced by self serving, incompetent career politicians by voters. Candidates campaign with promises to do great things, to solve all our problems, they paint their opponents as crazed crooks, con men, liars and cheats and voters elect them to discover those grandiose promises are empty air.
They are elected and continue to destroy the country as their predecessors have done with thousands of laws designed to control the rabble of the masses, a mind numbing waste of taxpayer’s money, damaging executive orders circumventing congress signed into law by the president. We have a federal government that sues states for purging illegal voters because they need these votes to ensure re-election. Our political system is corrupt from top to bottom and will remain this way unless the very essence of “me first” greed is altered. This can only happen with radical changes that force our politicians to abide by the laws they create, no more lifetime pensions, free medical care, insider trading, numerous perks they have bestowed upon themselves, and term limits.
But then, I don’t vote, so I can’t complain.
