Am I being oppressed?

Yesterday I went in to a nice and easy to buy a six pack of beer. The clerk would not sell me the beer unless I showed him ID that I was 21 years old. I am 72.. What is the rational that showing ID to vote is oppression of minorities when showing ID is necessary everywhere. Am I being oppressed? Stupid is as stupid does!
