After hearing the now-infamous campaign speech comments by President Obama in Roanoke, Virginia, I asked a noted small businesswoman for her response to ‘If you’ve got a business, you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen.””
The latest comment from our president continues to make it clear that the journey of entrepreneurship is neither understood by our president, nor is it respected or valued as the foundation of how America was built. If we truly intend to rebuild our economy then our administration must learn not only that entrepreneurship is the fundamental core of our economy, but also the multitude of risks and sacrifices that the entrepreneur must overcome.

Something tells me Ms. Antonetti’s sentiment, echoed by millions of entrepreneurs in America who’ve (in some cases) risked all to provide a service, create independence, wealth, and jobs, will fall on the president’s deaf ears.
