TORONTO, – B’nai Brith Canada has denounced the naming of a Gaza elementary school after a senior Hamas terrorist, Adnan al-Ghoul. This school was built with funds from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
Frank Dimant, CEO of B'nai Brith Canada, issued the following statement:
“The fact that Hamas terrorists, responsible for causing death and injury to countless Israeli civilians, have become national figures and role models to be revered and celebrated in Palestinian society illustrates all too vividly just how embedded the culture of hatred and violence against the Jewish State has become. This latest move to glorify terrorism at a Gaza elementary school - and the mentality such actions demonstrate - should be widely condemned as an impediment to peace.”
