Let me tell you about Chicago values!

Rahm Emanuel has told the world that Dan Cathy’s restaurant is not welcome in Chicago because Dan “doesn’t share Chicago values”!
There are a number of people that Rahm does welcome. Let’s assume these individuals, in fact, do embody “Chicago values”; names like Obama and Axelrod come to mind.
I grew up in Chicago and have a working knowledge of these “values”, whereby Chicago has become synonymous with crime and corruption.
In 1929, Chicago introduced a ‘new’ way to celebrate February 14th by staging a massacre. In 1959, the Untouchables detailed Chicago’s organized crime situation; but that’s history.
Today, the benchmark for Chicago’s “values” is illustrated by such luminaries as Reverend Wright, the white-hating preacher of “God damn America” fame, or Louis Farrakhan who spews hate with the predictability of Old Faithful; “white devils” is his catchphrase. Then there is Father Pfleger who was removed and suspended by the Church for his ongoing hate tirades.
The Chicago values police have no problem with Ayers, an unrepentant terrorist, or Resko, a convicted felon [now in prison] living in their midst. These two sure taught Obama a thing or two about Chicago values!
And then there is Chicago’s institutionalized voter fraud. Mayor Daley exhorted his followers to “vote early and vote often”. Don’t forget, there are Illinois values that see Governors go from the state house to the big house with startling regularity.
So, Mr. Cathy, thank God on a daily basis that you don’t embody “Chicago values”!
