Constitution and Bill of Rights upon Judeo-Christian morals and ethics

America’s ‘Unfair Advantage’!

Many people have attributed our current President’s loathing of America to our country having an ‘unfair advantage’ that is unique to America. What is America’s ‘unfair advantage’? Is our ‘unfair advantage’ our free enterprise system? Is it the bevy of natural resources blessings? Is it our constitutional, democratic republic?
While all of these advantages are huge, and afford us a unique standing amongst the nations of the world, none of them is our defining, ‘unfair advantage’. Our ‘unfair advantage’ can be traced to our Founding Fathers. With the previous sentence, every Leftist, Liberal, Progressive, Socialist, Marxist, Fascist, etc., just suffered apoplexy. Their view of our nation’s beginning dates only to when Theodore Roosevelt and Woodrow Wilson roamed the halls of the White House. Our Founding Fathers were not perfect and did not always agree, but they were motivated by a goal larger than themselves, both individually and collectively. Most of all, they embraced our Creator, basing our Constitution and Bill of Rights upon Judeo-Christian morals and ethics. This is our ‘unfair advantage’. All other nations, even those that embrace a single faith above others, have been founded upon the human appetites of power and elitism that come from a top-down control of the populace.

For those who believe politics is the answer to our numerous and burdensome problems, they will be very disappointed after the election, regardless of who is elected, and assuming there is an election. In a nation of over 310 million people, our two major political parties have saddled us with a choice between one candidate who is extremely abominable and the other who is highly questionable. The human fingerprints of greed and the lust for power, both foreign and domestic, are all over these two undesirable choices. When viewing our current predicament from a wholly different and holy perspective, it also appears to bear the fingerprints of our Creator. By allowing us to sink to such abysmal choices for determining our nation’s leader, He is telling us in a quiet, yet not-too-subtle manner, that we need to look to Him for positive hope and change. We are not a perfect nation, for none exists, but, until our rebellion against God, our nation had distinguished itself from other nations because our ancestors had embraced our ‘unfair advantage’, at least in part. How sad is it that we have strayed from the pillars of our ‘unfair advantage’ into a wilderness of worldliness that continually afflicts us across the spectrum of life? I propose that all patriots who love our country, warts and all, come together to seek to build upon our heralded past towards a renaissance future, not destroy our nation because of greed, a lust for power, ignorance and misplaced hate. Our Lord’s Prayer transcends almost all faiths, at least Western faiths, and it can be prayed by anyone. While reciting it at Mass, it occurred to me that His prayer to His Father encompasses all that needs to be said to invite God’s intervention upon us:
‘Our Father, Who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy name; Thy Kingdom come; Thy will be done, on Earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.’
Do you see what I see when reading this prayer, especially under our current and treacherous circumstances? The number seven (7) holds special significance throughout the Bible, forty (40) days holds significance for times of being tested, and our Holy Trinity provides us with the number three (3). I invite those who realize that we must turn to the Holy Trinity for help in saving us to join me in praying Our Lord’s Prayer seven (7) times at three (3) different times throughout the day for forty (40) days, beginning on Friday, September 28th and culminating on Tuesday, November 6th, the day of the General Election. It is readily apparent that those who place the secular above our ‘unfair advantage’ are determined to destroy our ‘unfair advantage’. In selling their souls to Satan, they are sucking the energy from our blessed country, sentencing us to a schism from our ‘unfair advantage’. Let’s pray to restore our ‘unfair advantage’, rescuing ourselves from the faith and fiscal cliffs pressed upon us by those viewed as our leaders.
