The issue of ammunition acquisition orders by the United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has been the topic for extensive written analysis and discussion within the "alternative" media. The ammunition acquisition orders have been completely ignored by the evening news, while the retinue of traditional national talk show hosts and news outlets have also appeared to avoid any detailed inquiry or in-depth analysis of this topic.

When not being outright silent on this issue, they've asserted that these orders were normal and customary, citing training and qualifying purposes. But is this a legitimate explanation? Not according to our investigation, which found the ammunition orders to be "extreme" at the very least and most certainly worthy of concern. First, some historical context.

The Department of Homeland Security

The Department of Homeland Security was created on 25 November 2002, ostensibly in response to the 2001 terrorist attacks. It has a broader stated mission of preparing for, responding to and preventing domestic emergencies, including but not limited to terrorism.

It currently employs nearly a quarter of a million people and is the third largest cabinet department under the executive branch of the U.S. government, having a budget of almost $60 billion for fiscal year 2012. Now explaining the "accountability" of DHS tends to get a bit confusing. DHS policy is generated by the Homeland Security Council, of which Barack Hussein Obama is the chairman. The Homeland Security Council consists of the chairman, attendees and participants, and is a distinct entity within the White House Office. The White House Office is a distinct entity within the Executive Office of the President of the United States. With its creation, there was a consolidation of power under the umbrella of the DHS that placed various domestic law enforcement and related agencies under their control. Such agencies include but are not limited to the U.S. Border Control, the U.S. Customs Service, and the little known Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service, which were consolidated into the newly formed U.S. Customs and Border Protection. Additionally, DHS itself employs dedicated agents, or officers not detached from other law enforcement bodies. As indicated, the Department of Homeland Security is a behemoth bureaucracy with a lot of bite, all at the immediate disposal of Barack Hussein Obama, or whoever holds the office of U.S. President at the time. The DHS Secretary, a cabinet level position, is appointed by the President. Janet Napolitano has held this position since 21 January 2009. As an aside, it is significant to note here that with less than a month under his belt as President, Barack Hussein Obama issued his first Presidential Study Directive (PSD 1), recommending the merger of the Homeland Security Council (HSC) and the National Security Council (NSC). The reason this is significant is that the National Security Council, established in 1947 under President Harry Truman, deals exclusively with foreign policy on national security. Considering this study directive, one can easily conclude that it was Obama's intent to consolidate domestic and foreign security policy into one entity. The process of consolidation contained within the study directive was never implemented, but interestingly, remains under consideration. As it exists today and as explained above, DHS already holds policy and authority over numerous domestic law enforcement agencies. Also as it exists in terms of an umbrella agency over various sub-agencies from the TSA to the U.S. Coast Guard, it may co-ordinate ammunition purchases for the various departments or for the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) for unspecified distribution. To gain an accurate understanding of the significance of nearly two billion rounds of ammunition purchased since the DHS began to centralize it's ordering, it is important to examine the timeline and amounts of the orders.

Retrospective of DHS ammunition orders

Mr. James Smith, a contributing writer to the Activist Post, recently compiled a very informative compendium of DHS ammunition orders since the department was created in 2002. We also reviewed the multitude of orders for the DHS itself, as well as all departments under the umbrella of the DHS. Our figures differ slightly toward the positive than do Mr. Smith's, although we included additional federal departments in our figures. To avoid unnecessary repetition and as our figures were fairly consistent with his, we will not republish the findings; instead, we will direct you to his well cited report here for detailed acquisition orders per year. To summarize our investigative findings, ammunition orders rose sharply under Barack Hussein Obama and Janet Napolitano beginning in early 2009. During the Bush administration, ammunition orders by DHS totaled about 825 million rounds from 2002 through January 2009 - a seven year period. That number more than doubled to nearly 2 billion rounds as of mid 2012 - a three year period as shown in the chart below (chart indicates amounts ordered per year. Total amounts are cumulative). To understand the magnitude of the amount of ammunition ordered, we again cite author James Smith who provided an excellent perspective in his article. The amount of ammunition ordered amounts to nearly 6 bullets for every American or enough to fill about 63 Olympic-sized swimming pools. Despite this massive amount of ammunition, we must again note that no one in the media or government is talking about this matter. In our opinion, they should not only be talking about this, but aggressively investigating it. Additionally, it is important to note that nearly all of the ammunition ordered is not typically used for target practice or for re-qualifying by armed personnel. Hollow points, for example are clearly intended for living targets. This brings us back to the original question not being asked: why is so much ammunition being ordered by the DHS?

America, the battlefield

Concurrent with the large amounts of ammunition being ordered, we see countless armored vehicles under the control of DHS as well as other law enforcement agencies being rolled out on American streets. The Department of Homeland Security as well as other domestic law enforcement agencies are employing the use of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs or drones) within the United States for surveillance and interdiction purposes. These UAVs are not dedicated to the porous southern border, but instead being used throughout the U.S. The DHS has also recently ordered explosives, reportedly for training purposes. But the amount ordered and the other components included with the order do not comport with the stated purpose. Now, we are seeing the military conducting "urban training exercises" on the streets of America all across the country. We are being told that these are merely training exercises and not to be alarmed by the presence of military troops and equipment as it is merely routine. When, during the course of U.S. history, have we ever seen this before? Indeed, the continental United States (CONUS) has been named a battlefield through bipartisan support of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), but in preparation for... what? For everyone who has been recently awakened or has been paying attention, you already know the answer. At the very least, the answer is becoming more apparent every day.

Redefining the enemy

The militarization of municipal law enforcement agencies within the U.S. has been in progress for some time. However, it has been expedited under the reign of Barack Hussein Obama, implemented by DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano, and again, facilitated through bipartisan support of members of the United States Senate and House of Representatives. But, who is the enemy? If you are reading this, chances are good that you are. It is important for every American to understand that we are witnessing the final preparations for a takeover from within. The plan has been in place for a long time and transcends the fictitious right-left paradigm, but appears to be coming to fruition under the reign of Barack Hussein Obama II, a man who appears to have been "vetted" for just this time and place in American history. The patriotic conservatives in tandem with the Progressives and communist elements within our own government have not only approved of this declaration of America as a battleground, they applauded it. And the applause continues from both sides of the political divide. Oh, I understand that such talk is usually referred to as the mutterings of conspiracy-minded dolts who have too much time on their hands, but it's rather difficult to make that argument when one is standing within spitting distance of a military vehicle deployed on an American city street now, isn't it? As to the common assertion that you've got nothing to worry about if you are a law abiding citizen, think again. If you are reading this article, or if someone sent this to you via e-mail, you fall under the category of a potential terrorist based on the revised DHS lexicon of national security threats. You are concerned about the future of our Constitution, therefore you are a potential terrorist. If you are pro-life and vocal about your views, you are now a national security threat, and so on. Again, those who have been paying attention or have awakened now know that we are a threat to the growing cabal of globalist bankers and financiers who have, in their pockets or under their control, most elected officials at nearly all levels of government. This covert war did not just suddenly appear under the reign (a term used deliberately) of Barack Hussein Obama, but it was most certainly expedited by his command. Definitions of "enemies of the state" were changed from actual or potential terrorists to those whose beliefs and values did not match his agenda. Currently, free-thinking supporters of our God given rights, granted to us under the Constitution and delineated in the Declaration of Independence, along with men and woman of Christian faith and Judeo-Christian values are the new "enemies of the state."

The start of the "end stage"

"Unhappy German nation, how do you like the Messianic role allotted to you, not by God, nor by destiny, but by a handful of perverted and bloody-minded men?" -Thomas Mann, 1939 The German novelist Thomas Mann had anticipated and warned against the rise of fascism during the Weimar Republic. Like Mann, many contemporary watchmen have been warning about America becoming a battlefield under the Messianic role of Barack Hussein Obama and by the perverted and bloody-minded men and women who are trampling our rights and turning our national security apparatus against anyone daring to embrace or promote our freedoms under the Constitution. To those with discernment, it would appear that we are witnessing the end stages of a takeover of our country from within. Since the inception of the PATRIOT Act, Americans have witnessed the incremental yet rapid erosion of our rights granted to us by God and delineated by the United States Constitution. America has now become the battleground, and the enemy is not who you've been told it is. The enemy to those in power is an informed populace. The enemy is us.
