Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's gauche gloating over the murder of the late Muslim strongman Muammar Gaddafi

“We Came, We Saw, He Died”

Contrary to the knowing lies government officials and opinion elites have been feeding the American people for 20 years, Islamic supremacism is not the fringe ideology of the terrorists; it is the predominant Islam of the Middle East." -- Andrew McCarthy "No, It's Sharia and the Assault on U.S. Missions"
Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's gauche gloating over the murder of the late Muslim strongman Muammar Gaddafi in Libya last year ("We came, we saw, he died"), reverberates in ominous echoes these days. Those currently in power would do well not to mimic the arrogant hubris of dead Caesars. According to the liberal talking points narrative, the murder of the US ambassador and three other Americans in Libya was the result of rioting prompted by the anti-Muslim film "Innocence of Muslims;" augmented by inflammatory rhetoric from right-wing Christian extremists. That is hogwash.

I will bypass discussing the spurious liberal narrative for the moment, and cut right to the chase. The riots were not caused by a movie, or rhetoric, or any other outside influence. The riots were caused by agents provocateurs, and by the nature of Islam itself. That Islam, by its very nature, is prone to erupt in violence is a fact that is studiously ignored by the world's intelligentsia, to the best of their ability. The "elephant in the room," or "the camel in the tent," is the fact that many Muslims tend to exhibit a pathological hyper-sensitivity to the slightest hint of censure. In short, they fly into a rage at the drop of a hat with scant reason. This type of behavior says much more about the person exhibiting such knee-jerk reactions, than it does about any purported outside cause. Andrew McCarthy pinpoints the problem in a recent article of his: "What 'leads to Muslim violence' is the toxic combination of Islamic teaching that violence is the appropriate response to even minor insults and the dhimmified superpower's acquiescence in this barbarism." McCarthy, who successfully prosecuted the "Blind Sheik" Omar Abdel-Rahman for the first World Trade Center bombing, knows Islam quite well indeed, and you can take what he says to the bank. The apologetic stance uniformly adopted by "leaders" of the western world when confronted with Islamist violence is sickening to behold. These dhimmis are spineless cowards, and their whiney mea culpas represent a great danger to our freedom. That is not to say that I am in favor of rushing off to war in the Middle East--not at all. Just because I have no wish to be manipulated by the spineless pro-Islamic Left, does not mean that I wish to be manipulated by the hawkish pro-Zionist Right. Let me try to be as clear as I can be here. I admire Israel, and consider it to be an invaluable outlier of Western Civilization. Both Israel and Western Civilization (Christianity) have been under attack for some time, and deserve and need our staunch support. But...I have long been angered by the military/industrial complex/neocon/bankster-driven state of constant warfare "we the people" have been living under--and now the Democrats and liberals are in on the act. I am soul-weary and sick-unto-death of the world's seemingly insatiable appetite for bloodshed and war. I am no hawk in the sense of desiring war--but I am a hawk when it comes to defending America, to defending freedom. When you come down to it, this means defending the US Constitution, including the Bill of Rights. It means that our men and women in uniform, and our "public servants" (there's a joke) need to start taking seriously their oath to "support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic." It means that our "leaders" need to stop apologizing to the Arab world for American citizens exercising their 1st Amendment rights. The US needs to stop with the simpering apologetic demeanor toward Islam, and grow a pair. And perhaps it would be best if we learned to respect our own US Constitution, before we consider forcibly exporting "constitutional rights" to the rest of the world?
