Obama has looked down from his lofty chin to notice that he is losing some of the women’s vote. He had been too confident. He is like a complacent married man who one day wakes up and sees that his girlfriend has walked off with her tennis coach.
Obama has not been paying enough attention to real women. He has instead focused on their reproductive apparatus. He has thought that he could buy women off with something as cheap as free contraception or easy abortions. He hasn’t concerned himself with the fact that women under his administration can’t pay their rent or put food on the table.
Out of urgency Obama has taken a brief break from the golf course, the celebrity parties and has stopped bragging about the death of Osama bin Laden long enough to try to seduce women again. But instead of appealing to women as human beings he has again specialized in abortion and contraception. He seems obsessed with women’s bodies. Does he really think that women are so small minded that all that they are concerned about is their sexual organs?
Some women woke up and realized that they are more than their wombs or what Obama feels they should do with them. They are sick of Obama’s surrogate -- a quasi-bright, adolescent, entitled law student, Sandra Fluke.
Women want to be treated as human beings, workers, competent people. Instead of Sandra Fluke why doesn’t Obama use Oprey Winfrey, Mary Kay Ash, Estee Lauder or Coco Channel as models? Isn’t it a little misogynistic to emphasize women’s sexuality rather than their business acumen?
Women need prophylaxis against Obama’s impregnating, simplistic, anti-female ideas. They don’t want to give birth to socialistic failures. Women want to be treated as human beings not as women. It was the same for Martin Luther King who wanted people to be respected for the content of their character rather than the color of their skin.
But Obama, our great uniter, is a misogynist as well as a racist; witness his respect rather than enmity towards the New Black Panthers, Henry Gates’ playing the race card and his identification with Trayvon Martin.
Obama ignored the women’s vote because he thought that they thought that he was eye candy and that he had them in the bag. Imagine Kennedy going on a show like The View and saying that he was eye candy. He really was but he wouldn’t say it. Presidents are supposed to be meat and potatoes.
It’s time that women dumped Obama, supplied him with pictures of the female anatomy and put his failed programs in a latex bag. Women should tell him that they are human beings, that they are more than their reproductive organs.
