Sin of Omission

At one time in America the media seemed to delight in digging for the truth of the news. Political servants and their actions were always scrutinized and more often than not the real facts of important events not only became clear through the press, but it acted as a safeguard of our freedoms. That was sometime last century. There has always been bias, but starting in the late '60s and '70s with the rise of liberalism and the encroachment of the entitlement state, the media turned to advocacy journalism. In other words, they slanted the news to paint liberal agendas in the most favorable light, while demonizing traditional values and conservatism. In spite of social engineering being proved a massive failure in places like Europe and the former Soviet Union (communism), the press by the '80s and '90s had been saturated with leftists and socialists--and much of the electorate had been schooled in the same theology by liberal education and revisionist history. Fast forward to the perfect example of the press aiding and abetting a coverup. Because the horror of Benghazi falls on a Democratic president in the heat of a re-election campaign, and on his Secretary of State, the old guard liberal media sees fit to ignore, bury, and generally dismiss one of the most devastating examples of ineptness and subsequent cover up since Watergate. This same press has seen fit to ignore in large part the systematic attacks on Christianity and Christian principles. The press has championed cultural decay, unnatural behavior, and promoted unholy alliances. The media failure to investigate the background of a man who now sits in the Oval Office was beyond dereliction of duty-- it was a sin of omission-- as are many of the stories spun in such a way as to serve those with whom they have philosophical agreement. With a crucial election just days away, perhaps America will reach back in spite of the all out effort of the liberal press and take a giant step towards ridding the US of her most unprepared, inexperienced, divisive, over rated, immature, ungodly presidents ever elected.
