The media used to be the 4th leg of government. When the media does its job we all benefit and the truth wins. When it fails to do its job lies and corruption ensue. I, like many Americans, watch with frustration the news and see broadcasters more interested in celebrity status, entertaining rather than doing their jobs.
As shown in the agenda, members of the Administration and the attorney general’s office attended the conference and participated in the program. Their presence alone is significant. This is direct evidence that they influenced the conference and consequently the attitudes, decisions and actions of everyone in attendance. The conference was well attended by representatives from 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, the DOJ, Inspector Generals, NSA, FBI, FAA, CIA, Department of Veterans Affairs, DOD, DOE, DHS, GSA, ATF and many other agencies. What is interesting about the news reporting the DOD’s involvement with military absentee ballots, the FAA’s message to its employees and the Department of Labor unemployment numbers? These groups attended the Ethics conference and specifically covered the 2012 election as an agenda item. One wonders what was actually discussed at this Ethics conference. What was discussed about the upcoming election? What was the real influence of the Administration on the FAA, DOD and The Department of Labor? When Chris Matthews hammered Jack Welch on MSNBC and requested evidence to back up his allegation that the unbelievable job numbers were fabricated, this ethics conference ties the administration directly, not only to the Department of Labor’s unemployment numbers, but also the FAA, DOD and DOJ. In fact, it connects the Administration to every Government agency recently in the news surrounding outrageous conferences and violations. The Ethics conference is a direct link to the truth and the people involved.
Americans have become extremely frustrated and troubled with activities being played out daily in the national news involving some of the agencies that attended the conference. Every day in the news, we sense and see breaches in ethics, crimes and injustice that are clearly violations being covered up. The agencies and the MSM remain silent and fail to investigate serious matters including the Muslim Brotherhood, SEIU, ACORN; MF Global; Solyndra; Fast and Furious; immigration; healthcare; national intelligence; security leaks; voter registration and intimidation. In addition, they have failed to pursue the fraud and forgery of sealed documents surrounding the President’s eligibility, birth certificate, social security number, selective service registration and college records to seek the facts. Instead they put their heads in the sand making them complicit and part of the cover-up. Each of the 851 that attended the conference has a duty to take a stand, investigate and eliminate injustice when seen or discovered. Certainly, they know things that if brought to light, would trigger the CIA, FBI, Congress and Sergeant-at-Arms to act. It would end this administration and send people to jail for their crimes, acts of treason, fraud and cover-ups. It is time for these officials to be held accountable, face the consequences and go to jail to restore confidence in Government and Americans that the rule of law matters.
The Ethics representatives are supposed to be gatekeepers for America in the various positions they hold in Government. The conference on Ethics was to inform and educate how ethics is handled in the private sector so that they might apply these lessons within Government. There are always takeaways from conferences. Apparently, all they took away was the need to remain silent. They are also supposed to be the leaders displaying the highest ethical standards and integrity. The public counts on them to do the right thing but they have failed the American people. The positions they hold in their organizations must be a ruse to project concern about ethics and exist only to allow Government to check the “ethics” box to meet the same compliance regulations they impose upon private sector companies. If they did their jobs and the agencies followed their rules, applying the lessons from the private sector, these conferences would not be in the news.
As an astounding example of the ethics group not following its own rules, we have to look at the addresses of the 851 conference attendees. Over 500 people are based in the Washington DC area, yet they all traveled to Orlando and stayed at the Marriott World Center Hotel, one of the most expensive resorts in the US. Why? The conference could have been held in Washington, DC, at significantly less cost. We can only conclude that these annual conferences, like most agency conferences seen in the news, have become rewards for people to vacation at expensive resort hotels. In September 2011, once again the “Ethics Group” was being rewarded with a junket to Disney World for their service and silence, all at taxpayer expense, under the banner of training and instruction. The Ethics conference in Orlando was similar to the 2010 GSA’s conference in Las Vegas, the Bureau of Standards and the Department of Veterans Affairs conferences, in Orlando and Nashville that recently made headlines. Together these conferences over the last 18 years must have cost taxpayers hundreds of millions in travel, living, hotel, facility and entertainment expenses.
In the private sector, businesses are accountable to their shareholders and the consumer. The Government representatives are accountable only to their superiors and do not see themselves accountable to the public who pay for their conferences and salaries. The Orlando conference was actually worse than the GSA’s Las Vegas and the VA’s Orlando and Nashville conferences because the Ethics Group representatives are the leaders and gatekeepers of justice that monitor and set the ethics, policy and compliance standards for everyone in Government. They knew about the GSA, Bureau of Standard’s and Veterans Affairs conferences held in 2010 and 2011, before their ethics conference. Members of each organization attended the Ethics conference. The Ethics Group learned nothing and essentially sanctioned the GSA and VA events by saying and doing nothing. What does this say about their ethics positions, organizations and Government when ethics and compliance violations are uncovered that expose their shortcomings? Isn’t it amazing how eager they are to take down and prosecute companies and individuals in the private sector for their violations while hiding and stonewalling when they see similar violations in Government? This makes them a party to breaking the law, accessories to crimes and accountable for the unintended consequences in failing to enforce the law. There is no wonder the general public doesn’t trust Government.
The Ethics Group attendees have failed at their jobs and each should resign immediately. This turnover in personnel would be a positive move for the country and a fresh start to bring in new people willing to make the hard decisions and do the things they failed to do. It appears that everyone in Government has bought into operating and conducting themselves in the “Chicago way” using Saul Alinsky, “Rules for Radicals” community organizing tactics and strategies which condone violence and civil unrest. We have seen this with activities of SEIU, ACORN, the Black Panthers and the Occupy movement. They have accepted and promoted lies, fraud, deceit and corruption while perpetrating cover-ups and obscuring the transparency that was promised by the current administration. They must no longer look the other way, holding themselves to lesser standards than they hold others. Congress must recognize that each of them and their management, including the President and Attorney General, are at the heart of and central to every ethics violation and fraud in every agency and department. They are directly responsible for all activities. Congress must appoint an independent outside special counsel to interview each of representative to uncover the violations, fraud and crimes they are covering up to expose the cancer within Government.
Positions held by the Ethics Group have become useless. Apparently, they believe learning “Lessons from the Private Sector” doesn’t apply to officials and personnel in Government. They are the Government; they create the laws and therefore are above the law. This is now clear after we have seen (a) the Supreme Court decision on immigration in Arizona and the Government’s decision not to enforce the law; (b) the President’s order to suspend deportation of a cohort of illegal aliens; (c) company takeovers by Government; (d) healthcare and welfare work requirement waivers; (e) past and present violations of the Federal election laws; (f) the DOJ cover-up over Fast & Furious and Benghazi; (g) suspect unemployment figures and many other Presidential orders signed without Congressional approval.
In 2009 we were told that “transparency and the rule of law will be the touchstones of this Presidency” and the most ethical in US history. It has been the opposite. The President not only duped the public but has disrespected and diminished the office of the Presidency. Every day people in these organizations reconcile discrepancies, look the other way, defend and perpetuate lies while squashing and denying the truth, deceiving and misleading the public. They run from transparency, spin facts and withhold the truth arguing executive privilege, confidentiality and national security, even when people are killed as seen with Fast and Furious, Benghazi and the Libyan Ambassador. They even maintain secrecy about the President’s real reasons for golfing. No responsible executive can golf over 100 times in four years without being negligent in his position. Common sense tells us that these golf outings are a cover to allow him to avoid disclosing these “meetings” and people attending as “official” communications in the White House visitor logs. What and why is he hiding from the nation?
The President has been an abysmal failure and is heading a lawless, fraudulent and corrupt administration. He is directly responsible for the ethical violations and the buck, as he states, stops at his door. The current administration is the most incompetent, out of control, dishonest, corrupt, lawless and deceptive in the nation’s history. Calling out these violations and crimes will affect the Attorney General, the President, his closest advisors, everyone of the Czars and those whom the President referred when he stated “they are the ones they’ve been waiting for.” Many people did not know at the time that he was referring to Socialism, Marxism and Communism when he stated his plan to “fundamentally transform America.” These are political systems with which most Americans alive today are not familiar. Communism never died in the United States. It went underground with its supporters, both inside and outside of this administration, who “changed the radical pose for the radical end” and waited patiently for the arrival of the current President. Americans had no idea of their plan to implement the “Cloward-Piven” strategy as a catalyst for transforming the society and the take down of the US.
The establishment press, MSM and others negligently and with deliberate bias, support the administration, fall in line, promote disinformation and lies as news to influence public opinion and promote their agenda. If they don’t, the Government is ready to authorize bullying, sanctions, reprimands, censorship, penalties, license cancellation, filing lawsuits (as seen with the recent DOJ suit against Gallup), jail or worse. Government has no limitations and can take over companies like General Motors and Chrysler and take on companies like Boeing and Gibson Guitar as well as state governments, sheriffs and judges attempting to deal with immigration violations, voter registration, fraud and eligibility issues, while applying “Chicago” intimidation and bully tactics. This is not the Government we expected when “We the People” spoke during the last election. The old slogan of “Hope and Change” is gone. The new slogan is “Hoping for Change” and for Americans to wake up.
The Ethics Group must be vocal, calling out the communists and enemies of the State. The Ethics Group, many as lawyers, pledged an oath to protect the nation from enemies foreign and domestic, to uphold the Constitution and the rule of law. The White Paper started with a quote from James Madison stating “If men were angels, no government would be necessary. In framing a government which is to be administered by men over men, the great difficulty lies in this: you must first enable the government to control the governed; and in the next place oblige it to control itself.” “James Madison’s observation about the obligation of government to control itself, as well as the governed, is as true now as it was 222 years ago.” This quote speaks directly to them. They know Government has failed to control itself.
