Barack Obama will be aborting our economy, aborting our traditions, and aborting our civilization itself. But, hey, at least you may get some free contraception. I hope it was worth it, gals.
Death by woman

During the latter part of the 2012 campaign, we heard a lot of talk about how Mitt Romney was closing the sex gap and capturing women’s support. “Mitt is on the move - a poll shows he’s pulled even with women!” My attitude about this was that if Barack Obama didn’t carry the female vote, I’d accept a demotion to PVT in political prognostication and change my name to Dick Morris. And, man, do I ever get tired of being right.
The statistics are in and not only did the president win women, but the sex gap was the largest in history. The Hill provides the details:
President Obama won women by 12 percentage points, while Mitt Romney won men by 8. That’s a 20-point gender gap, edging out the 1984 election when Ronald Reagan defeated Democrat Walter Mondale in a landslide.
Of course, this wasn’t hard to predict. I don’t know of any major modern American election in which women haven’t broken for Democrats. In fact, contrary to popular myth, women favored them even in the 2010 mid-terms, albeit by the narrow margin of 49-48.
To further illustrate the significance of this sex gap, consider the following from Ann Coulter in 2003: “n every presidential election since 1950 - except Goldwater in ‘64 - the Republican would have won, if only the men had voted.”
And perhaps with the exception of ‘08 (where the men’s vote was evenly split), this still holds true in 2012.
Oh, and for all the folks who think this is wholly attributable to abortion, note that women supported Democrats long before that issue became a fault line dividing the two major parties.
As for the 2012 outcome, however, it truly was a pro-abortion vote. Barack Obama will be aborting our economy, aborting our traditions, and aborting our civilization itself. But, hey, at least you may get some free contraception. I hope it was worth it, gals.
