Emotional Patellar Spasticity

Dateline: May 18, 1927 In 1927, Andrew Kehoe, was angry and wanted revenge. A School Board member (he was treasurer and caretaker of the school) his farm was foreclosed upon after the community and school-district passed a tax to build a centralized school. Kehoe felt this was the reason for his foreclosure.
Kehoe used months to place high explosives in and around the school. He beat his wife to death. He set his farm on fire to distract firefighters. He then went to the school on May 18, 1927, the last regular day of school before summer vacation. After detonating the bomb killing 38 children and six adults, spectators ran toward him as he sat in his truck nearby. The truck was a bomb as well. He detonated it in a suicidal effort to kill others. It remains the WORST school killing in American history.

Dateline: September 3, 2004 Chechnyan Rebels, in the town of Beslan, took an estimated 350 hostages at a school. This was in the extended aftermath of when hostages died in a Moscow Theater after Russian Special Forces nerve gassed the hostages and their takers. In Beslan the same effect was produced. Russian Special Forces tactics executed dynamic entry into the explosively mined gymnasium the hostages were imprisoned in. After the heavy-handed assault (bullets fired almost indiscriminately and voluminously rather than surgically and with controlled target acquisition) was concluded, 40% of all hostages were killed and 40% were critically injured by what’s believed to be “friendly fire”. Dateline: April 19, 1995 Disgruntled veteran Timothy McVeigh parked a Ryder truck in front of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City. The truck contained over 5000 pounds of self-constructed high explosives. Inside the building were approximately 648 people: three pregnant women, 99 Federal employees and eight Federal Enforcement agents. 15 of the 19 children present were in attendance in America’s Kids Day Care. McVeigh left the truck behind. The bomb detonated after McVeigh was safely away from the area. 169 people died. A 30-foot wide, 8-foot deep crater was created next to the building. 324 buildings within a sixteen-block radius were damaged or destroyed. Glass was shattered in 258 nearby buildings. Broken glass accounted for 5% of the death total and 69% of the injuries outside the Federal Building. There was an estimated cost of $652 million worth in damages. Dateline: June 8, 2001 Mamoru Takuma, a 37-year-old janitor walked into the Ikeda Elementary School (an elite school similar to our Lab Schools). Armed with a kitchen knife, he stabbed and/or slashed both students and teachers. Eight children were killed. 13 more students were seriously slashed as well as two teachers. Takuma was diagnosed with: Borderline Personality Disorder, Antisocial Personality Disorder and Paranoid Personality Disorder; a list of certifiably dangerous mental illnesses. Dateline: December 14, 2012 Min Yingjun, a 36-year-old villager, armed with a knife slashed 22 children at an elementary school in Henan Province. He attacked the children and the adult as they entered the school’s gates. There were significant knife attacks against children from 2010 to date. There were nearly 20 killed and 30 more wounded. This occurred the same day as the Sandy Hook Incident. In another unassociated case, 47-year-old Xu Yuyuan entered a Jiangsu province in 2010 and stabbed 29 children and three teachers. An AXE –wielding man attacked, killing three children and maiming 13 others at a Guangi Province Day Care Center. Homicidal mayhem directed against children is rising world-wide for some inexplicable reason. The sheer madness shocks the sensibilities of any sane person. But, notice please, there’s been NO demand we outright ban Ammonium Nitrate fertilizer. There are NO bans on cutlery (knives, axes et al). There are NO suggestions as to what to do with dangerously mentally ill individuals needing CONSTANT oversight in the maintenance of their medicine needs. Some will say we must at least stop gun violence. It’s been shown armed citizens stop more assaults than are successful in this country. We have the statistics and the facts to back this claim up. Facts should trump emotional patellar spasticity. Thanks for listening
