Wouldn't it be nice if more Senators were willing to follow Rand Paul's lead and get in front of the cameras with a pro-constitution message? While folks like Jim DeMint bemoan the quality of "Republican messaging," Paul is front and center fighting a fight that should be common sense to every GOP member.
"Someone who wants to bypass the Constitution, bypass Congress, that's someone who wants to act like a king or a monarch," Senator Paul told CBN. "I've been opposed to executive orders even with a Republican President, but one that wants to infringe on the 2nd Amendment we will fight tooth and nail..."
It's anyone's guess why this is so difficult for most Republicans to grasp. Maybe they're scared, maybe they don't think it's a fight they can win, or maybe they're just plain lazy, but if Paul is willing to fight, others on the right had better get out there and back him up.
Messaging is great but, if you back down from the battles, what's the point?
