A public servant who actually wants to empower the people

Milwaukee’s Sheriff David Clarke: This man deserves our support

I like public servants who believe in empowering the people, so I like David Clarke, the sheriff of Milwaukee County in Wisconsin. Sheriff Clarke is not buying the liberal nonsense about gun control, and has aired a radio ad urging citizens to arm themselves as protection against those who might threaten them and their families.

Of course, Sheriff Clarke is already catching heat for saying this. He appeared on Monday with the clueless Soledad O’Brien on CNN, and stood his ground very well – but you know this is just beginning. Unlike Barack Obama, Joe Biden, Soledad O’Brien and other liberals, Sheriff Clarke actually knows a thing or two about what it takes for people to protect themselves. He understands that sometimes a threat is imminent and you’re not going to have time to call 911 and hope that they get there in time. He understands that sometimes you have to take matters into your own hands, and that failure to do so could be a matter of life and death. And even though I’m sure Sheriff Clarke would prefer a situation in which the police take down a would-be perpetrator, he understands that sometimes your only chance is going to be to stand up for yourself, and because of that, neither the government nor anyone else has any business telling you that you can’t arm yourself. We need to stand for Sheriff Clarke, because I am sure the heat on him is only going to get more intense. The liberals and the media are going to try to intimidate him into apologizing like they did to Phil Mickelson after he talked about his 62 percent tax rate. Don’t do it, Sheriff! You’ve spoken out for the empowerment of the people, and you should never apologize for that! The political class and the media don’t like it because they want all the power and influence for themselves, but you’ve shown that you are truly committed to serving the people who elected you. We’ve got your back, Sheriff Clarke! Fully armed, if necessary.
