-0 bama: Tough on Terror?
He ordered CIA detention facilities closed
Directed the closing of the Guantanamo military detention camp
Halted military commission trials at Guantanamo
Restrained or stopped the interrogation of detainees
Said there would be no renditions to countries that use (loosely defined) “torture”
-0 bama said he wanted to restore “the standards of due process and core constitutional values that make this country great even in the midst of war.”
Of course, the American right of legal “due process” under the US Constitution applies only to legal US Citizens and legal visitors. It is not international law, and it has never before been applied to “enemy combatants,” international terror organizations, or prisoners of war. And for good reason…
The overtly inexperienced Resident -0 bama has denied prisoners of war their day in court by stopping ongoing trials for at least 120 days. He ordered Club Gitmo closed before figuring out what to do with over 200 detainees still held at Gitmo and now waiting at least another 120 days for their day in court.
It was a friendly gesture to our enemies, wasted on terrorists who issued new orders to attack America on the same day.
-0 bama: Tough on Jobs
-0 bama’s trillion dollar taxpayer leap into pure socialism is being sold as a “jobs” initiative that will “stimulate” economic growth by “creating” 3-4 million new jobs to replace the 2.5 million jobs lost over the last two years of Democrat controlled economic chaos. Am I the only American to notice the decidedly deep downturn in our economy after Democrats took control of congress in 2006?
The problem is, government can only create “government” jobs and even if we could replace 2.5 million lost private sector jobs with 4 million new government jobs, what will it do to an already bankrupt nation?
So far, -0 bama is only proving his willingness to make snap decisions despite his historic lack of experience to deal with such dangerous issues. He appears just as inept as we expected.
Note to intellectuals: Private sector jobs, which can only be created by private sector investment, expand the tax base, increase productivity and feed the public trough. Government sector jobs, which are the only jobs government can create, further increase taxpayer burden, create an additional drain on the public trough, remove investor resources from private sector investment and accelerate the collapse of the world’s greatest free market economy. Write that down so that you don’t forget it when the walls come tumbling down around you…
-0 bama can put people to work, but at even more expense to the public trough, which has been running red ink for more than seventy years now and is on the brink of total collapse as a result. At the rate at which Democrats are promising to print more funny money, the dollar won’t be worth a peso soon, even in a Tijuana brothel.
New York State is pleased to announce that they have been earmarked to receive a whopping $125 BILLION in “stimulus” dollars from -0 bama’s TRILLION dollar payback for campaign favors that sank Hillary Clinton’s bid for the White House. Here’s a shocker… New York ranks second only to New Jersey as the two most “unfriendly” states in the nation to do business. It’s no wonder they need a federal bailout after decades of over-taxing and over-regulating private enterprise… The New York economy is not in the tank due to taxes being too low. It’s in the tank due to taxes and regulations being too high…
This is clearly the work of “intellectuals.” But is there any sign of intelligent life in the Big “rotten” Apple? New York has a highly dense population, in more ways than one. Schumer and Rangel are the brightest folks you can find?
House Speaker Pelosi has already signaled that -0 bama’s first trillion is just the beginning, not the end of the latest socialist special constituent spending spree. Where does it all end? When the well runs dry?
As former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher once said, “Socialism is a great idea, until you run out of other people’s money!” A simple reality gone missing, among intellectual types like the big -0.
-0 bama: Tough on Freedom and Liberty
-0 bama, Pelosi and Reid are in full agreement on their march into unbridled Marxism. Free stuff for their constituents, is the centerpiece of their domestic agenda and in order to deliver on those promises, some freedoms are going to have to go!
There is no free lunch! That’s what your grandparents told you and they were right. Everything costs somebody, something.
-0 bama and Co. believe in the Marxist idea that private resources should be taken from some Americans according to their ability to cough it up, namely those who earn and are willing to tolerate, and redistributed to others according to their politically indoctrinated sense of need. Karl Marx thought the same thing.
Marx and today’s Democrats call this “economic justice.”
Our nation’s founders believed that freedom was the most “just” economic system on earth, whereby every individual has an unalienable right to define and determine their own destiny. But today’s Democrats believe in something quite different. Apparently, so do at least 66 million voters, give or take a few dead ACORN duplicate ballots.
Democrats’ idea of “economic justice” is based upon their right to confiscate private property from those who earn it, and use those resources to buy political loyalty from a growing proletariat class, who have been systematically trained to wholeheartedly believe that they are “entitled” to the earnings of others.
-0 bama is firmly committed to free stuff for his constituents, but at the expense of freedom for all, including his constituents. There ain’t no free lunch! Remember? Even for –0 bama constituents…
Intellectual vs. Intelligent
The dictionary defines intellect as “a person possessing a great capacity for thought and knowledge.”
But the mind works much like a computer in the sense that garbage in, will only produce garbage out. I am reminded of a great saying from a dear Martial Art’s Sensei who always said, “Practice does NOT make perfect. – No matter how many times you practice bad habits, they will never become good habits. – Only perfect practice can make perfect.”
He was so right and the last several decades of Washington DC decision making is a demonstration in this reality. In the end, knowledge is no substitute for wisdom. Street-smarts and book-smarts are two very different things. Bad knowledge, practiced over and over again, is a sign of ignorance with no end in sight, not intelligence, and leftists are good at it.
However, the dictionary defines intelligent as, “displaying or characterized by quickness of understanding, sound thought, or good judgment; having the faculty of reasoning and understanding; possessing intelligence.”
Intellectuals will go so far as to claim that you should not be “judgmental” at all. You shouldn’t use reason, common sense or experienced judgment in your decision making. Common sense and reason are not parts of the intellectual process. As a result, neither is wisdom… or intelligence.
Reason, judgment, common sense and accurate information combine to make sound thought - and over time with experience, wisdom. Knowledge alone, especially when based upon false facts, is no match. The Global Warming Swindle is a glaring example… there is no such thing in terms of mans activities. Only half of scientists think the globe is even warming. The other half believe that we are headed for another ice age. But the intellectuals have been taught otherwise and without common sense, they are left only to the faulty science of their choosing. In this case, the agenda drives the science, instead of science driving the agenda.
Washington DC Needs a Transfusion of Intelligence
We’ve had all the intellect we can afford! I refer to the new generation of intellectuals as the “arrogantly ignorant.” They have no idea what they are talking about, but they are damn sure of themselves, just the same.
Today’s example of intellect over intelligence comes in the form of -0 bama’s announcement to replace 2.5 million private sector jobs with 4 million new government taxpayer funded jobs, in the pursuit of “energy independence.”
It is no secret that Al Gore’s Global Warming scam is based upon science so fraudulent that more than 500 international climatologists have gathered to file suit against the Global Warming Swindle fear-mongers, for misleading millions of clueless citizens around the world.
Yet -0 bama calls Gore’s fraudulent research “fact,” upon which he justifies shoving America from global greatness into third world status, under his idea of “economic justice,” otherwise known as global secular socialism.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi believes that the federal funding of abortion is a vital part of any good “economic stimulus” package, as their will be fewer mouths to feed. -0 bama agrees and has signed yet another executive order freeing up taxpayer funds for international infanticide.
Meanwhile, -0 bama has decided to return the power over fuel emissions standards to the states…. Not all states, mind you. Just the fourteen states that want to increase emissions standards beyond that currently in law at the federal level. The other thirty six states which might want to reduce their current state emissions standards will be afforded no such freedom or power…
A remarkable era of “selective freedom” by executive order is underway. Democrat intellectuals see a need for energy independence, but no need to produce more energy through existing technologies and resources.
To sum it all up, the halls of congress have been filled with intellectuals for decades and look at what they have done to our country. Our college universities are a bastion of intellect and look at what they have done to generations of Americans who no longer comprehend the simple fundamental principles of freedom…
America cannot afford the intellectual mental masturbation of Ivy League lawyers and elitists at the helm. America is in desperate need of common sense, reason, intelligence and wisdom, none of which can be found in today’s governing party.
So, as the nation takes a fast track to the secular socialist abyss and the border to border calamity that can not be avoided in the end, remember that you should never again confuse intellect with intelligence, knowledge with experience or wisdom, freedom with the quest for free-stuff.
Our nation cannot survive this new era of secular socialist intellectual elitism. As a result…
Only three questions remain now…
How long will it take the majority of Americans to figure it out?
How bad will it get before they figure it out?
Will they have any power left, or anything left to salvage, by the time they figure it out?
All other questions have already been answered! There is no escaping the inevitable price of national ignorance. The longer we wait to remedy the error, the steeper the price.
There is a piece of good news though. People intelligent enough to see it coming were smart enough to get out of the way of the impending disaster. That will primarily leave only the intellectuals standing in the middle of the track!
