An in-depth and comprehensive understanding of body mechanics, human anatomy and physiology
The Canadian Academy of Osteopathy is growing!
In November 2012 the CAO is moving to a bigger location, on Ottawa Street! Founded in 2003, the CAO provides education in the theory and application of Classical Manual Osteopathic treatment. We teach our students the mechanical and physiological reasoning behind the problems and help them choose the appropriate technique to address health issues. We encourage our students to think critically and provide rational treatment, enabling them to tailor treatment to a patient’s problems.
Located in Hamilton, Ontario, majority of the students are from and around the Greater Toronto Area. However, many students globally also inquire about the Academy.
We offer a 4 year post-graduate program. Unlike other technique-driven osteopathic programs, our progressive curriculum is designed to foster an in-depth and comprehensive understanding of body mechanics, human anatomy and physiology. Rather than encouraging students to memorize course materials, we instead support the development of critical thinking skills and rational thought processes which we believe are directly related to accurate diagnosis, appropriate treatment and clinical success.
Renowned for our outstanding teacher-to-student ratio, quality hands-on clinical training and highly experienced educators, we can offer students a challenging and rewarding education that supports a natural approach to health and wellness and earns you professional certification in a medical field that is only growing in popularity.
With international recognition, and continuous praise from our current and former students, the CAO is continuously growing. With its expansion and a bigger facility, the CAO is looking for a few more spots to fill in its classrooms. Applications are still available for our Fall and Spring Semesters.
