imageTourism Ireland is thrilled to offer Canadians a fantastic new device on its golf website.

Avid golfers can now not only search tee times on their favourite courses but book them as well. With the click of a button, preparing for that dream golf vacation has become even easier!

Golf Events

Killeen Castle in County Meath will welcome U.S. and Irish golfers in autumn 2011 for the famed Solheim Cup. From September 23 to 25, 2011, top American female golfers from the Ladies Professional Golf Association Tour will play against their European counterparts from the Ladies European Tour in this three-day, match-play competition.

The 2011 Irish Open – Ireland’s largest domestic golf tournament – will take place from July 28 to 31, 2011, at the Killarney Golf and Fishing Club in Co. Kerry. Attracting the biggest names in golf and spectators from across the country, this four-day golf event is a great opportunity to see the best in Irish golf!

The 19th Hole

A golfing vacation to Ireland offers much more than just golf – after a day on the green visitors can look forward to a myriad of activities available at the golf resort they’re staying at or in nearby towns or villages.

If it’s a bit of pampering why not relax at one of the amazing spas throughout the island. Or for some friendly banter check out the golf course’s clubhouse (19th hole) and get to know the locals or head over to a nearby pub for some great conversation and a traditional music seisiún (session).

For the more adventurous traveller, why not attend one of the island’s numerous festivals – for what’s on, visit website here.
